Hello Tytanick,
It happened again. Optiminer 1.0.1 is at the mining and has not been reported for 2 hours at my pool address. Hashrate has gone down accordingly.
Many know the developer (s) what to do.
Can you offer with options the previous optiminer parallel with?
Thank you.

Can you check different pool ? Propably something hanged ? Can you also try lowering memory ? Is it in RX or R OS ? Which GPU ? Which pool you are using ?

Dear tytanick,
apologies for the forgotten information (glass ball and so).
Firmware: 1043 (RX)
Hardware: MB: MSI K9A2 Platinum, Sockel AM2+ RAM: 6GB CPU: Athlon 64 X2 4400+
2x XFX RX480 GTR 8GB BE (default: core@1338MHz + MEM@2000 MHz )
In fact, both cards run at 2100 MHz memory clock. I will test it with default (2000) and report.
Pool: -> nanopool -> With another pool I would reluctantly test(ing).
Best regards.

Yes, Optiminer is screwed up with 1043.
I am running it on 2 different rigs and they will stop hashing and in console will tell me my pool info is invalid after hashing there for an hour or 2. Hopefully he can get this issue addressed soon.

Maybe your internet is intermittent or the pool, flypool.org, is having problems. I just don't think it's SMOS or optiminer that's causing problems, from the trouble you're reporting. Keep on mining!

i moved a 5 card rig over to SMOS and im having an issue with the cards not staying at 100% all cards are rx 470s ill give it an hour or so to see if it is stabilizes itself out edit: it never stabilized so i moved it back to windows till i can troubleshoot it some more Edit: fixed the issue had to take a gpu out of the 16x slot

Edit: fixed the issue had to take a gpu out of the 16x slot
You mean conpletly stop using x16 slot OR you connected 1x RISER USB to this slot and this also helped ? Anyway i have 3 gpus with 2GB which mining optiminer and i also had blackout in hashrate https://tytanick-gmail.tinytake.com/sf/MTE4MzU5Nl80NTg2MjE3Anyway, try guys to report problems to optiminer github page. Really i just put miners in my OS and thats it i cant resolve miner problems - i can only resolve my OS problems Also guys i have important notice for you and question ! - its about root access !!!I released root password for public to debug problems but i see one security problem wit it. When new miner will come out it could have any trojan inside. While root password is known to all, if you run such miner it can simply do anything becasue it can login to root password. Thats why i want to close again ROOT for all people, so noone will know root password. Then such trojan miner wont do any damage to system. Tell me guys how can i resolve this in other way becasue some trolls will tell that i am hacking or doing suspicious stuff when i disable root Tell me what do you thing about securing root password again ?

Yes I had to move it completely out of the 16x slot for all cards to run at 100% Right now it's just crashing or locking up can't really tell. Will be super happy when the rig resetter comes out!!! What's the command for optiminer to reset the rig if a gpu crashes? To answer the root question. Could it possible to keep root access with a personal password change? I know it wouldn't work the same as you locking it down but would it help?

Yeah but i also must know this password It is problem to secure system from viruses - i would have to secut it fron root also changing password will make a mess, it must be simple, boot and just mining. Accualy user should NOT do anything on my OS or change anything becasue any change could broke something Also i know that some people install for example wifi drivers and could not dothis without root password. Anyway i will not do this right away. i will propably do this in january/february as now i a focusing on SRR and other stuff. After SRR techonogy process and slaes will move on, then i will have mcuh more time for futher upgrades for SimpleMining OS There is still so much to do Thx all you guys an girs for support that you are giving me with nice words I really appreciate this !

Hello, thanks tytanick for the OS, nice work, keep on going! optiminer crashes a lot, claymore's is slow as .... they focus on win version unfortunately :/ about root problem, this can be a solution maybe: - you change and keep the root pass - create admin user, which login can be turned on/off from web dashboard (so only the owner could login) - admin user couldn't change root pass for obv. resasons (unique admin group) ..or something like that it's convenient to know root access, but not secure for sure. best regards,

Hi tytanic! Please, how to make IP static and also not affected by updates, so if I leave my rig for a long time I always can SSH to it? And then the other way - how to bring it back to NAT? Thanx!

Static ip you need to set on your dhcp server (static ip per specific mac) Also forwarding ports are not my business I am not helping other things than simplemining related by a rule Also you should not even touch ssh while there is everything in dashboard

tytanick,
Thank you so much for adding support for xmr. The problem is claymore does not support rx cards for xmr mining.
But if you look at wolf's gpu miner, people are able to run their RX cards! Will it be possible to implement that miner as another xmr option--the only option for RX cards. I know you are busy with other priorities...

Fuck, its based on config file. I wont do that quickly Be sure that when profitability of XMR beats out ethereum, i will do this for sure. Right now i see that there even But about config file i have an idea how to get around it. I need few days anyway.

During the XMR crazy days, mining it using RX480 no problem using switch for new cards. So RX480s can mine as good as 290/390s - however Claymore can improve the RX series even further if he has time... Btw, Claymore's CryptoNote GPU Miner v9.6.... why on your dashboard you state v.9.1 ?? Did you confuse this with Claymore's ZCASH miner latest version number?

is there a reboot file in the folder for claymore to be able to use the -r 1 settings to reboot a rig if a gpu fails?

Yes there is, Script will force reboot rig so you can add this parameter. But it works as defautl as far as i know. -r 0 is default and will restart the miner not the system -r 1 will close miner and execute the reboot file in the miner directory when a gpu fails so -r 1 works? or do i need to add the reboot script to the miner directory? SRR when will it be ready?!?!?!
