Well let's see, Supply is increasing at a crazy rate. It basically doubled in less than a year, probably more after lbry is year old. Inflation is high...

Miners are insta selling their mined coins, driving price to zero.

There's a what? 400M pre-mine that people are not liking one bit, along with LBRY devs throwing a shitload of coins for free where it's getting dumped on exchanges also.

This dropped 10x in what month and half lol...Got my buys in a 100 sats. Inflation here is worse than Zec inflation it seems.

Also kinda wondering why do they have 400M coins premined, I know some are needed for promos, incentives...etc but 400M lol plus they got a VC investor to seed 500k. Why do they still need all that LBRY for. They should lower the block rewards at least to lower inflation, probably too late as alot already lost most of their investment aka bagholding now.

Good luck, if your holding on don't sell. It's not worth selling now especially if you bought above 20k. It's pretty much bag holding hoping for a pump.

You can hope for a pump when they finally release their stable platform for windows and others, I think there will be a very small chance out there..... suppose that the dev really will publish the stabler version of this "still in beta"

Judging from other users' post it seems the giveaway was abandoned by the dev. You still can buy lbry from their listed exchanger if you're interested, but you won't get any from those referral program

It was definitely not abandoned, please don't spread FUD.  Invites are being released weekly, couple hundred at a time.  The invite just gives you 25 LBC to play around with, it's not a whole lot.  You don't need the invite to try the platform right now, as the software is available for anyone. 

As far as the referral program goes, those credits will be paid once the invited users get their codes and redeem them.  So if you didn't get your code yet, the people you invited didn't either.

So how to get software?  I can only read it is accessible to invited..

Was a bit of a confusing coin - I saw an ad for it, tried to join but realised it needed an invite and have waited now for 2 months with nothing. I understand more referrals help so tough luck for me on that part!

My only real interest to be honest was that it seemed to be a place to help writers get published and so on... I even applied to be a contributor in that respect but did not hear back so I imagine the quality of applicants must be quite high.

A bit sad to learn the coin has plummeted.

Nope, definitely not dead. The team is funded through mid 2017 (VC funding).  You can clearly see all their hard work on github, it doesn't take a genius to tell.

The price is low right now because the miners production (sell side) outpaces the demand (buy side).  Once the platform is stabilized and more content is available, more users will purchase LBC to publish or buy content.  It's a slow process and will take time.

The price decrease was also because of the ramp up, very similar to what happened with ZEC.  With the ramp up period over, LBC emission rate is now on a logarithmic decrease over the next 20 years. The emission suits the platform, but not the markets at this point.  The concept has yet to sink in with the crowd - definitely takes time!
