I thought I would try mining some of this. I setup my plot and am ready to pool mine, the only problem I'm having is changing the reward recipient. The error I keep getting is this. {"errorDescription":"Unknown account","errorCode":5}

Any ideas?

I'm using 1.2.6

Seems like your account is not known on the network. Go to a faucet and fund your account, then make an outgoing transaction back to that same faucet. After that is complete your account should be known and then you can proceed with setting the reward recipient.

Can we do it to other network or account I mean sending funds to other account or is it a good strategy to first invest in assets after getting your funds in your wallet,also got this error that is why stopped mining Burst..

You can send it wherever you like, you just need to make an outgoing transaction. I just think it is good form to give at least 1 BURST back to the faucet, as they were set up to give more precisely for that reason.
If you got funds laying around elsewhere, do with them as you please. Also, always secure your new accounts by making an outgoing transaction!

I had a similar thing a couple times...it was the HDD both times.  Once I just restarted everything and things were fine.  Second time ...the HDD itself was defective.

Does this mean my hard drive is not compatible with th e software,how did you started it I've tried it several times but no success all these times,I would love to allocate my 500 gb to mining Burstcoin,I think the answer should also be posted here for users preference.

 Over 40 PB. 40800 TB.


 Is Burst capable of being 51% attacked?

All coins are at risk of a 51% attack, BURST is no exception.

The answer here is purely game theoretic. If they decided to dedicate such resources to mine BURST, it would be illogical for them to destroy it utilizing a 51% attack.
Of course, they could do it out of pure spite/malice in which case they wouldn't care about expending resources.

Just to get all of us on the same page here what I would do first. Delete the database files in the folder burst_db.

Download the latest blockchain


How to sync Blockchain the fast way for "Burst Client for Windows":

Close (Exit) Burst Client completely -> Check Icon in tray!
Download Zip file from http://db.burst-team.us
Unzip file
Go to C:\Users\User\Appdata\Roaming\BurstWallet\burst_db\ <- Appdata folder is hidden!
Copy unzipped file in burst_db folder and replace the old file.
Start Wallet

Let us know what happens after this.

Thanks for posting,I also need to replace my data base my data is not showing everything I login it's been seven days this way,I don't know if all my assets rewards are still coming which I'm sure it's comin,also need to buy Burst it's a good opportunity to get it now.

burst community is lovely, on nxt am focusng there just one one asset, janus coz every 4 months price go up, but on burst i buying lots of asset, mainly yours and burst ocean for now and bit of others.

Is the HDD your mining with labeled as C? And do you have multiple non-used letters, such as J,K,E?
