Hi.

I'm in a weird situation right now. I left home with nothing but my phone and a few dollars for a taxi fare thinking I wouldn't be out for too long. I went for a while, and I ended up getting lost with nothing but my phone which is slowly dying and it's getting cold. I need a 0.3 BTC loan for two days to get a motel for the night, some food and pay for a taxi to take me home. For a 0.3 BTC loan I can offer you 0.325 BTC once I get home. I know it's a weird request, but I'm hoping someone can help a brother out. For anyone wondering, the Bitcoin will go into a Bitcoin Debit Card which is how I'll pay for everything. As for collateral, I can offer my account for 2 days. I don't want any new member stealing my personal account so if you aren't a trusted lender you'll have to ask an escrow to hold it. Your story doesn't add up. How do we know that your account is not hacked?

Well without a signed message the lender cannot guarantee that the account will remain under his control if you default.

You could sign a message and recover the account after you receive the loan.

Read up a few posts, the addresses are on my desktop and I can't sign any of them from my phone.

Let's say your story is true which I doubt it is.

You could receive the money from the lender and go home and claim back your account with a signed message making it look like a hack.
And the lender will loose access to your account.

It is true, and do you really think I'd do that? It'd be pretty stupid of me to even attempt that, because then my three years on the forum + all my help, ect will have been for nothing. • I think your account may be compromised. Other users have asked for loans before without signing a message and then claim their accounts weren't under their control. Maybe I'm wrong but this is just temporal
  
• You can't use your account as collateral because you can't sign a message, so a temporal negative doesn't affect you
• I'm not asking for a signed message now. Post it when you get home and I'll remove the negative trust then

For the moment just go back home and pay the taxi when you're there, as suggested by someone else.

Yeah, it's not the original owner/creator.

They were all almost certainly hacked using the password hashes that were leaked a year ago -- these users never changed their password since then, and were probably using fairly simple passwords.

Yes it is easy to hack a bitcointalk account if you use the same password you use at bitcointalk at other sites
Most of the bitcointalk users keep same usernames and same password giving abusers an opportunity to login and do anything. Even I keep same username in gambling sites but not the password

Please provide proof you are the account holder of this account.  I am not sure what the issue is that you are coming back after a year of being dormant and then asking for a larger loan.  I would like not to agree that this account is hacked, but I have to agree that this account has been hacked unless you have something else to go on.
