RIP Hal Finney, hist contributions were simply great!

It's quite interesting he's now frozen down. At the remote possibility of him being restored to full operational mode in the future, I would love to see that headline, if it's in my time.

Wow.  I knew he had ALS and was becoming increasingly paralyzed, but didn't know he had passed on until just now.  What a frustrating and imprisoning feeling that must be: to have a brilliant mind trapped in a failing body that can no longer communicate to the outside world.

I hope the 0.0001 BTC unit can be named in his honor (the "Finney").

Currently I'm working on something Mike Hearn suggested, using the security features of modern processors, designed to support "Trusted Computing", to harden Bitcoin wallets. It's almost ready to release. I just have to do the documentation.

Has this been released ?

RIP Hal. You gave so much.

If you don't have the private key for "your" bitcoins then you have no bitcoins.

What a humble guy, and what a genius - achieved more in his wheel chair years than most of us fully able will in our entire lives (including myself).

A great human being has been gone.
Thanks for all your hard work and passion for this project.

Everybody with disabilities knows how hard it is, to get the things together and move forward, he showed us the way.

Thanks too for his family, which never let him alone and was always on his side.

R.I.P.
