Thanks for the heads up on SWEEP pool. Was enjoying mining it while it was up.
no worries ...
it will be up again - but we need to iron out a few issues first ...
this testing is imperative for the stability of the pool long term ...
working on it now - it seems like it will require a reset - which means ALL coins need to be removed ...

hi, what do you mean by "reset" ? to me thats a vitalik term, meaning you will reset the errors exploited in the chain. but YOU dont control the sweep chain (or maybe you do now) so how would that work? i was thinking the crazy params would cause issues, has that come true?
Or do you mean there was a fork, and THEPOOL was on wrong one? im confused... "reset" ? cause ya blockchain=no coins are ever lost really...
im loyal to the pools as always, just wondering what your meant.
thx!
as ive stated ... a reset for the pool system ( wallet ) - and database ( db ) ...
the process is simple - but destructive ... the issue we are suffering is a rare issue we have been encumbered with when the mpos system recognizes a 'potential' double spend ... its NOT a double spend - its the db allocating two areas of the rows / columns to ONE piece of data ... which mpos sees as TWO payments - therefore a 'possible' double spend ...
mpos has had an issue with this a LONG time ago - and has supposedly fixed this ... this is one of the rare times its reared its ugly head - and there is no valid 'fix' for this except to 'delete and restart the db as well as the wallet' ...
so when these two areas of the pool are 'reset' - ie started from scratch again - ALL data contained in the db is reset to zero - and the wallet is a new wallet created with different address which mpos requires to function ... thats what i mean by reset ...
the current wallet and stratum are both running as they should be ... but when the database becomes corrupt with this sort of error - the only 'fix' known so far ( and no one else has come forward with ANY other fix for this issue ) is to delete the db and wallet - and start over ... this will 'reset' the counter / blocks / setup for the pool and wallet as well ... so its like starting a new pool afresh ...
thats a reset ...
and its also the LAST resort for any pool operator - as it means we have to go through this process of removing coins / putting users through this process just to restart ... if there was an easier way - we would do it ... there isnt ... we HAVE to get you to manually move your coins off this wallet - before its deleted ...
the 'reset' will ONLY occur IF we cannot find another resolve ...
thats why we say your coins are 'safe' because the wallet itself is not corrupt - and is still functional ... and as far as we can see - the chain is fast and solid ...
