I got an outrageously high proposition from a member of the group buy asking 3.33 x the original amount of BTC from his shares. If I wanted/could afford a full Avalon 4 module, I would have sent the money two days ago, for 1:1 BTC.

So when I say I'm willing to take shares off your hands, that's what I mean. Maybe with a *small* bonus, but certainly nothing approaching 3.33x the original amount... two days later and as the risk seems to slightly increase on the bfl side, that's asinine.

Yeah I would agree with you.  If someone wanted to sell their shares I would be very interested but only at a small increase over 1:1.  If someone is interested just PM me as well.

CH:

You are probably better of denying any share transfer or wait listing stuff. It will burden you with unnecessary work. Good luck.

Hi all,

Out of Newby land finally.  Glad to make the group's acquaintance! Smiley  I'm in for 5 BTC.

First, a big public "THANK YOU!" to CoinHoarder!!

Second, I completely agree with shibaji.  CoinHoarder, it's entirely your decision, but you will save yourself a lot of extra hassle and work if you completely deny any share transferring or selling for the short term (one week, or *however* long you think you'll need to get things sorted out).

I've run a few companies before, and believe we should handle any "share" transfers, in a very open and transparent manner, and also with some straightforward rules.  We probably shouldn't even be discussing those rules in this thread (time to make a new sub-thread?), or for a while.  I can think of half a dozen concepts (right of first refusal by the group, blah blah blah), and they should all be taken up/examined by group members (with CH as final approver, period).

So, everyone who "wants to buy in" to this -- at least for the time being, please don't post "I want to bid/buy into this" here, at least not until CoinHoarder himself says "hey, we might be selling a piece".  Sound reasonable?  Perhaps make your own group, and buy a whole Avalon from any seller (ebay, etc.).  And if you want to sell your group share -- I'd suggest waiting until CH is ready (and says so), and has at least processed/accounted for your payments.

For everyone "in the group" -- please realize, you might see/hear all kinds of offers.  People are paying 1500% markups on eBay, to buy BFL equipment that they have no guarantees on, esp. since no single consumer has ever had a BFL ASIC delivered to date.  And someone in BTCtalk sold a working Avalon, for cash in Seattle, for $20k -- in a matter of hours -- because *that was a good deal*.  An Avalon right now will make over $500 a day at current hashrate difficulty and BTC price, and people can't get them fast enough.  This group alone is proof Wink

I plan to sit back, be happy I bought in, and feel that it's all going to work out.  I hope everyone else feels the same way  Grin

Thanks everyone.  Let's get our Avalons, keep perspective, and make this work.

I wanted to bump these posts in the thread to make sure all investors see them.

I am crediting the unclaimed 1 BTC transactions to thomashrev89 (1 BTC) and jargoman (3 BTC Total in 3 transactions) as I have received no objections.

There are still unclaimed deposits on the list, two of which the funds were sent from two addresses, so I'm not sure which address I should send back to. This is very important, please contact me.

The rest of the unclaimed deposits may remain anonymous if they like.. I'm not sure why they haven't contacted me yet. They only sent from one address, so I will just send their dividends there.

Thx CH. Everything looks good on my end.

Agreed we should enable a system to allow for transfer of shares. Let's hold off until we have finalized all the transactions and CH gives us the go ahead. I will be willing to part with a few coins worth of my shares (PM me if interested and when we go ahead I will be in touch).

====

I've been trying to calculate the expected profit per day per 1 BTC invested. The trick is predicting the network hashrate when our machine arrives. I came up with the following:

Best scenario: No BFL's ship. No new ASIC products come online. Including all the Avalon's in batch 1-3. Expected hash would be 130 Tera-Hash or ~2.6x current difficulty.

Expected scenario: BFLs ship some units at reduced hash rate given new power issues. 5k chips @ 4.5 Ghash each would yield (in addition to the avalons) = 3.1x current difficulty

Poor scenario: BFL comes through and fills it's 25k chips @ 4.5 ghash each. ASICMiner also puts another 5 terahashs online. Difficulty would be 5x

Worst: Above + an additional 100 Teras from Huh. Difficulty would be x7

I think a decent estimate would be Best scenario for 1 month, expected for 2 months as BFL releases, then poor x 2 month, after that it is impossible to predict.

Based on this assumption:
1 BTC would yield: 2.62 BTC after 5 months. I think this seems reasonable/possible. Then 0.01 BTC per day thereafter. This is before fees/downtime. If BFL fails to deliver we are looking at just over a month to breakeven. Let's go avalon!

A single BFL chip SHOULD do right around 8GH/s at full speed. They're downclocking chips to hit chips to 4.5 to hit a 5W target in a jalapeno supposedly. So far they missed that by a fucking mile, if that video has anything to say about it.

SilentSpring has claimed Transaction ID: f0ae6f84b9afccadde51e4fd7a937ce15be6b3d0afc1be0cd17dfc598824776c

He's in for 2 BTC unless I get any objections, I have already updated the spreadsheet.

That leaves only 2 remaining unclaimed transactions.

Thanks,

Ch

Naw, you're good to go as long as no one objects to me assigning that deposit to you. If someone does, then we will work it out but I doubt we'll need to as I remember you deposited BTC.

I can't wait to get our Avalon's hashing!!  Smiley

Good Smiley

I've been working on ownership percentages of the Avalon's. I seem to be off by 0.000484296097%, I'm not sure whether this is transaction fees or my errors, but I will get it figured out soon. Everyone is encouraged to check my work. This will show you projected earnings with current difficulty up to 10x difficulty. Enjoy!  Grin

Kudos to CH for doing this for the community. I have no skin in this group buy, but it is refreshing to see the community getting together to help each other.  I've read many negative threads (scams, lies, etc) on this board, so it's good to see something positive from time to time.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the excel sheet for calculating ROI - it looks good (ROI achieved in less than 1 month at current difficulty Wink)

I'm willing to sell my participation - if someone is interested please just PM me.

Yup, actual ROI will likely be about 35-40 days which is awesome!
