Sunday update:

Progress as been made on the algorithm that balances the block size and block time that is needed to handle the demand spikes created by the LN failure mode scenario. I am playing around with different variables and simulating different scenarios, possible real world occurrences that would bring the chain to its limits.

Also working on weeding out all the excessive code found in Bitcoins codebase. (This will take time...)
One of the core principles of the new codebase is to keep the basic building blocks as simple as possible.
So I am looking into ways to have transactions with multiple participants implemented as a layer on top of simple one-to-one transactions.
Instead of complicating the transaction format, this could have the potential to move the complexity to a layer between the core network and the lightning network.

J.V.

Good to hear progress is being made!
Simplicity without sacrificing potential seems key to me, i really like your approach to things.
Would love to hear which goals lay ahead Smiley

Yeah! i agree. Build complex things with simple building blocks is way better than the other way around. Building simple things with complex shit is much harder and a waste of time.

Sunday update:

First of all, Happy New Year!
2017 is going to be a significant year for Veltor, not just in terms of blockchain adoption, but it is going to be the year of Lean Blockchain tech.

I haven't progressed too much during the holidays, however, building the codebase from scratch, is going to be so worth it.
I am currently working on the mining part of code, and the unnecessary complexity used in Bitcoins codebase is absolutely baffling.

nothing but only talking.

I am in an exponential learning curve, I do see a solid vision for the future is formed, but not defined enough to make any commitments. (Yet)
But I am drafting one and constantly changing it. I'll release a roadmap ones I am confident that I'll commit to it.
Also, ones there is something to show, I'll release it. Smiley
Releasing bits and pieces of code makes no sense in my eyes.

Sunday update:

A man may die, nations may rise and fall, but an idea lives on.

Change is in the air, the opportunity is approaching, a great shift here.
Titans will fall and rise, truth and unity outlasting, with no ground for illusions and lies.
Time was never and won't ever be, just the moment is where importance prevails.
The time is now, purity and virtue, the great vastness.

There probably won't be a fork but an entirely new coin for which vlt can be exchanged in the swap. So that means the local wallet probably won't be suffering from any problems.

Don't worry, the hash rate is volatile right now. This causes some blocks to take a few hours to be mined.

Sunday update:

Bitcoins transaction capacity is evaluated in its market price. The transaction limit, is also its price limit. And the market-price demonstrated that, by being reverse correlated to a growing Mempool size and transaction back-log and the failed attempt of breaking the old record high in a meaningful manner. This again, demonstrates the importance of a scalable codebase.
In a way, this development, of bitcoin, is in favour for Veltor. It opens a window of opportunity.

I intend to make good use of that opportunity!

bitcoin is a new window of opportunity of and new vista of information.

I agree! Veltor is gonna show the way for crypto currencies in general and for bitcoin specific 🤘🏻
We'll see a new era, that's for sure!
