A new cryptographic algorithm for mining is great but nothing to get excited about.  A new codebase (that is as good as jasonv75 says it will be) IS worth getting excited about.  You are getting ahead of yourself.  No chance polo is gonna add this until the new codebase is delivered.

Rewarding orphans keeps the impact of lost profits lower and at the same time adds the mining power used on orphans to the total of mining power securing the network. However, with the intention of creating the simplest possible codebase as a foundation, I decided to remove them for now.

Examples please.

Cryptographic algos are the backbone of any crypto system, for some it's boring but I like these sorts of developments.

Good to see all the support and the difficulty making new highs. This week has been a busy and productive one.



I started setting up a team in order to accelerate the development. This will also form the base of the Veltor Foundation. The project can't be dependent on one single person, not at this stage. This ensures a continuation of the project, even if something would happen to me. If you are interested in contributing to the cause, let me know. Getting in at this stage is an opportunity only few will have.

Furthermore, during my work on the Veltor white paper, I identified a way to significantly improve the Lightning Network. I believe it is a real breakthrough and a way to overcome many limitations of the current concept.
