I still mine ETH. My new 2.0 H81 Pro BTC board finally manage to gave me some stability with 5 cards. It's a mix of 4 470 and 1 480. The 480 is running at the same spec as the 470. getting 182 MH. I just regret to have sold my 15 coins @0.01125 and not right now 182mh with 5 GPUs ?

I have 4 pandas and 51 rigs on Eliovp's site. It works well. Mining monero right now on pandas getting 6.4/6.5K on his rom and roughly 950 or so watts. My 51 x 6 cards rigs RX470's getting 4.52K on 640 Watts =)
These are Eliovp custom roms so not free but well worth it.
At this point I have 1 rig on his os and a license for 9 more rigs. I am going to open a skype account to talk with him about getting the os licenses working. I want to be able to run my rigs on his os or simple mining os before I buy any roms. Once I can run on: windows 7 windows 10 smOS evOS I will feel safe enough to get a custom rom for all my msi rx 470's 4gb size. I have two MSI 470s 4GB. Have you looked into what a custom ROM will run? I may be interested in defraying the cost, as I'm sure others would, too. This is a popular card.

I think one of my prized possession the ultra dependable EVGA-1600-G2 is showing the symptoms of death...
After slightly more than 1 year of non-stop 24x7 mining, had to reboot this PSU yesterday... started the rig and a second later, stops... and comes back alive again, then stops repeatedly.
I had to shutdown the whole rig (6 x R9-Nano powered risers, Asrock H81 BTC, 8gb, 120ssd, smOS) - unplugged power cord/point and left it over night.
Today... no luck. Same thing.... starts-stop-starts-stop-repeatedly. Power supply and cabling should be OK since it was working for so long.
Anyone had this experience before?
I hope the remedy is just changing the power cord or re-seat the RAM of something... otherwise this will be my first RMA out of the 9 units that I have in the farm.
The other rigs uses EVGAs 1300w-G2 and 1000w-G2.

i would stat by pulling all psu connectors (both ends if modular) and inspecting them. corroded or dirty pins can be a problem but i cant see just that power cycling the psu, usually shorts do that. but cant hurt to check. of course reseating all mobo components is a good idea too.

Just rma the damn thing, hey it happens and at least you will get a nice refurb unit back.
One of the rails might be failing to supply proper power so that could be causing the restart issue. Had that restart issue before and that was the cause.

Yeah send it back. Evga is good with returns. yes, tmdz, phil - with 10 year warranty - this EVGA is worth every penny. I will continue to do a few more test to isolate tomorrow morning.

Fancy you mention this. After 80 days bio star sent me a rma for my dead z170. I went to do a build with it. Using the ultra thin slim xfx 460. So far it is a struggle to get it to work. I think they sent me a bad replacement board. To voice my anger at biostar and utter an endless stream of racial anti Asian comments is not my style. To complain and mention they took 80 days and sent me a beat board is my speed. I will just give the board a few more try's. Shame as I want to do a build. I will f around with the board the next few days. I may buy an aorus from gigabyte. Works pretty well. I kind of want a new board.

I basically unplugged everything, did some cleaning with a nice toothbrush, cleaned the riser's PCI connector tips, and a short prayer. Bang... rig came back to life! Before the above I used a EVGA-1300w to acertain that the PSU is dying and strangely enough same thing happened. So its not the PSUs. Following Tmdz's suggestions, went to look for a soft toothbrush and a air spray can and proceeded to dismantle the rig 2 eureka moments here because of this PSU incident : 1. The 6 x Nano rig mining XMR only uses 500watts, so I get to recycle a 1300w PSU and use the 1600w PSU for another new rig (another Pandaminer? ) 2. Wished I had a small air compressor thing instead of buying these damn air sprays. I could had done more cleaning but I ran out of air spray. Any suggestions?

any cheap pancake style will work, you can get then under a hundred bucks easy on sale, and they come with basic attachments including a blowgun. only down side is they spit moisture every so often, just watch out for that. havent used canned air in years. something along these lines, only mine is a bit smaller (a craftsman 120 psi 2.5 gallon). http://www.homedepot.com/p/Porter-Cable-3-5-Gal-135-PSI-Pancake-Compressor-PCFP02003/203254365all you need is 100 psi, believe me thats plenty pressure for computers.

I will look out for it. I wonder if there is a computer specific - air compressor - even smaller than 100 psi.

I´d like to try a 4 or maybe 3 card build right now (some spare 700W PSUs ) Any recommandation besides the Biostar? Especially for a 3 card build that has some space between all 3 gpus I want to stay below 100$ of course... maybe there is an older mainboard on the market? (cheaper, still working, buying it in used condition..)

However, most Z170 are quite decent (apart from quality of their RMA or customer service). Lessons learnt from my current Biostar Racing Z170s... a. mSata storage -- this is really an important advantage. b. easy to insert a divider to give a small gap in between cards (I use disposal wooded chopsticks to space them). c. built in touch sensor ON/OFF/RESET buttons on the Biostar was really convenient.

I made some test with ETHPOOL as pool for ether mining and still not happy. Expected reward according to Ethpool is lower than all mining calculator (too much lower, not acceptable) , and their average hashrate is ALWAYS lower than the reported one. In the end, less profit.
I know many of you have come back to Eth mining. Did you find better options than Ethpool / Ethermine ?

Is the rapid rise in difficulty factored in to either your calculations or these online calculators? It's been going up 1TH per day. https://etherscan.io/chart/difficulty
