I bet they wanted lunch but someone fucked up something and they need to fix it,
or secondary option they are audited or will be audited by some people with whom they
signed NDA, it can be some exchange it can be some external 3rd party.
Their silence is probably connected with some NDA agreement.
I predict that they want lunch ICNX and ICNP on exchanges/exchange too.
Maybe they want do it on few at once who knows.

Melonport sounds great in theory but their token distribution model and the fact that the ICO takes place 2 years before the release of the platform (without accounting for unexpected delays that could happen as well, as they so often do in crypto) has me seriously doubting the potential from an ICO investor standpoint.

Plus all this talk about Melonport being "decentralized" is a bit of a stretch when it is still a small group of people that are in control of the funds, development, marketing, etc, and they hold the majority of the tokens and even get to decide the rate of inflation...

That is a very good point about Melonport.  

Don't forget that it only works with ERC20 tokens, so you have to trust this centralized company to hold all the fiat and BTC anyways:

Also, they have not yet addressed how there will be any liquidity if it's not linked to centralized exchanges.

By the time the code has been properly audited and tested, the supply will be inflating 25% to 50% per year, there will be no dividends, and Iconomi platform will already be dominating the market with a big userbase and excellent liquidity.

Another interesting thing to think about, is it might be easy to front-run Melonport fund managers if all their trades are public and it takes 1+ ethereum network blocks before their order is filled.

I don't trust them even melon port has backed by gavin wood. It's same ERC 20 tokens and nothing special.  Edcoin.io qtum is preferable rather than melon port.

As you are a Newbie, let me introduce you to the evil creatures who live in the undergrowth of the crypto world. They are mischievous, slimy and manipulative creatures who pry on Noobs, weak hands, and people with anxiety disorder.

4. Dump as agreed
5. Erode value by attacking coin, founders, and questioning their integrity
6. Buy at set low
7. Rinse and repeat

This is the typical evil crypto cretin strategy. It is usually best not to buy into it or they will reproduce and hurt more people.
