Why? I understand that the Avalon chips are alrady ordered and will be a fast way to add more hashing power, but why getting involved with a third hardware maker instead on focusing on our* own chips?

I would think not having confidence in a company because they take national holidays is a bit irrational. However you are right in a way, I raised my eyebrows when Ken said he was off on his hols at this crucial time when a lot  of discussion is going on. But after thinking about it I think he's just not a business minded guy in the PR sense. He could have not mentioned the hols which would have been the smart move but as he did I see it as him just being honest - as opposed to trying to keep up sweet. So a good sign.

Yes, those Avalon chips will be used for mining, but remember that VMC can always buy more chips from different hardware manufacturers for selling systems at a profit.

Ofc all efforts should be done to bring the Fast-Hash-ONE chip as soon as possible.

This would put a few shares in our pockets and give the company some cheep chips to build machines with. Another idea is that Ken could take the chip credits and build some machines for shareholders at a discount because there chip credits were used. I have about 30 I would like to trade.

I have credits, I'd go for a swap just to get a few more shares. Not keen on asking VMC to build us discounted rigs, though. I'd prefer they concentrate on the core business of acquiring/building to mine and building to sell at retail.

This would bring our total hashing power up to 700,000+ MH/s

It looks like we could get these within the next 3-4 weeks.

Now call me crazy, here and you may actually be quite spot on, but does that say 385,000 GH/s and 68  Klondikes at 308,000 GH/s?  If my math is correct, which it rarely ever is, adding up the 000s, carrying the 1s, yep we have a typo here!
