I was a teensy bit frustrated, because I needed to post for the first time in almost two years, but couldn't find the blinkin' "Reply" link. I wish a message had gone out to all existing users who were still newbies at the time of this rule implementation, telling them why they couldn't post all of a sudden.

Oh well. As I already had three posts, and I have introduced myself now, this post solves my problem. Wish it didn't have to be this way, though.

Hey Everyone, This Forum is indispensable for learning the ins and outs of cryptocurrencies and mining.  I've learned a lot here and have also recently began mining and doing well with it.  Gotta post to be involved!  I believe that Bitcoin is a monumental achievement for all people and will have a huge impact as it comes to age.

The new rules encourage newbies to:

• start an autoreload mechanism in their browser over night (to get the 4 hours)
• post nonsense answers such as "New newbie here!" or "I agree here" (to get the 5 posts)

So I'm afraid those rules make the forum more attractive for trolls than for non-trolls. I wonder whether the trolling really declined since those rules were established. Is there any evidence on that topic, positive or negative? Did that really help?
