In hindsight, yes, things were clear, but not at the time.

We are dealing with two extremes here: freedom and authoritarianism.  Whether the authoritarianism is socialism, communism, fascism, corporatism, dictatorships, or some other -ism, they are all cut from the same cloth:  power-hungry people seizing the reins of a government by some method (elections, perverting the governing documents of the country, guns or whatever) and then attempting to control everyone else through force and deceit.

The fight isn't between the left and the right, but the free and the ones who want to control and enslave them by hook or by crook. 

The sooner people realize the fight is between being free or not - and that includes attempting to use the government to live at the expense of someone else through getting something for "free" (free to them, someone is always paying), the better. 

One hopes that Bitcoin will help to make it clear that what you earn belongs to you, not someone else merely because they want it.

TPTB want to paint it left vs right to obscure the real issues and the real sides of what is going on.  Free or not.  Controlling others or being in control of yourself.

Im scared AF to cash out on my little Bitcoins I have, it's very scary to know they can froze your entire saving accounts out of nowhere. My friend tried to withdraw 0.5 BTC and he got his bank account frozen until they basically want to unfroze it. I'll have to re-check im doing it all perfect if I ever want to withdraw some BTC.

Did the banks not go broke or was it really the government and they took private peoples money ?  
Seems like another good reason to keep large amounts of capital yourself or outside the country like the Perth mint deposit scheme.   However an operating business has no choice but to run a balance at the bank so didnt this cause lots of business to fail ?#

I also invested in gold, some resource-related stocks and real estate.
But more than half of my wealth in now in bitcoin and I continue spending part of earned fiat to buy bitcoin every month.

It's funny to see people panicking over today's bitcoin volatility. They don't realize that next year they may lose most of their euro and dollars in series of Cyprus-style bank seizures.
Nobody even noted how Hypo Alpen bank in Austria collapsed recently and then was bailed-in with 100% of depositor's money and how country's parliament void of all insured deposits from that bank.

There are very few offshore banks that actually support BTC. EU is a strict NO!
Moving to the Caribbean was a good decision in my opinion.

Offshore bank accounts are no more solution after FATCA. Every USD transfer can be stopped by US intermediary bank. Many offshore financial companies are investigating bitcoin potential right now.

Well Bitcoin if stabilized it would be a great means of storing wealth and using it offshore. All an offshore financial service has to do is implement a system like Protonmail that has 2 passwords one that both the customer and company know which lets you access your account on their servers, and one that only the customer knows which decrypts your account on their servers. This would protect a US citizen as they can plead the 5th, and the offshore financial service company is safe because they don't know what their customers are doing, in short, your privacy is backed by cryptography, not 3rd parties that can be subpoenaed.
