Internally we are debating how to conduct the election and currently the idea is to add a new feature to Agama wallet and/or a standalone app that will allow to select your notaries. Of course cli will also be able to be used.
Making sure we we have only the best notaries is worth the 0.0001 KMD a vote will cost as it will directly affect the security of not only KMD but all the assetchain coins.
I will be compiling data on the notarization performance of all the current notaries so everybody can see the actual results achieved by each operator. There are many different things a notary operator has to do, but ultimately the purpose of a notary node is to notarize.

Hi there, I'm putting together an evaluation matrix of all notable Anonymous/Private cryptocurrencies, and could use your help clarifyiing Komodo. Feedback including reference to something official (website, whitepaper etc) or Dev comments (or devs themselves) would be very much appreciated. Thank you! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2669844.0Very good idea. However I read somewhere some people pointed out: - tor integration is not really needed / does not give anything over what is there in true anon coin - quantum resistance need is also exaggerated - I read normal sha256 from BTC should be still good enough, and if quantum computers will get really advanced any blockchain can get additional proof. So it's simply not needed now, and if will be - can be added to any coin. - mixing itself is 1.0 anon tech, ring signatures 2.0, zk-snarks 3.0 I suggest to add some weights what is really important and what matters more, so here for example I would give 100 points to zk-snarks, 10 for ring signatures, 1 point for mixing in terms of anon tech. If master nodes are also important - can get points in a different category? or just depending on what you appreciate more.

Could someone of you please help me with a small problem?
I have been using an older version of the Agama app for several months now. So far without problems. Now I would like to update to the latest version. However, this is only possible through a new installation. So far, I only have my seed, no backup. Since there has been an address change by claiming interests, the seed is no longer enough, right? I read that with my seed I would only get the original address, which is empty now.
So what do I have to do to get my coins into the new app?
Thanks already for your help.

When you uninstall/install Agama it doesn't do anything to Komodo blockchain and the wallet.dat file because they're in a separate folder. But you can make a backup just in case. In general if you use native mode you need to backup the wallet.dat file in order to save all change addresses (or every time send the whole balance back to the address corresponding to the passphrase).

I can not find an import function for the wallet.dat in my fresh installation.

What about Bittrex.com or Wex.nz ?
what are talking about? listing KMD on these exchanges? Bittrex exchange has been listed but Wex.nz hasn't been yet. I think some bigger exchanges such as Bitfinex, Poloniex, Bitstamp will accept KMD in this year . I expect KMD platform will be used by many fintech organizations in this year .

I read a couple of pages back the website will be up and running before Jan 8th. Also, maybe an idea, wouldn't it be easier to adapt barterdex to exchange BTCD->KMD? This way you kill two birds in one stone as more people will be introduced to barterdex?

I can not find an import function for the wallet.dat in my fresh installation. After installing the new version of Agama and running it on native mode, the wallet should read from the same wallet.dat located in your komodo directory. You shouldn't have to "import" it unless you wiped your data and you installed fresh. Always.......ALWAYS backup your wallet.dat before making an update or messing around with the files in the komodo directory.

Hi everyone.
I've been using BarterDex for the last day or so (since the new windows release). I have two trades that say "finished" but do not show in my balance.
One of the trades has a blank txid
Trade info Quote ID 3922188080 Request ID 2449291256 Trade id 0 Expires In Wed Jan 03 2018 00:30:18 GMT+0000 (GMT Standard Time) Source Amount 33.12303929
Buyer Info Buyer Coin Crown (CRW) Buyer ID 8494306111205343233 Buyer Payment 1a7897b942f94428baba37c5ec5480ff6fbe432fde7b09761762d49476440747 Buyer Tx Fee 0.0001
Seller Info Seller Coin Komodo (KMD) Seller Deposit 37643a90465392719199e1d164ddb7452f644e4b26855496217f7ad13e25da7f Seller Payment 0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 Seller Tx Fee 0.0001
What exactly happened here? I'm still learning barterdex but what I see is an incorrect payment txid.

As long as you have the same private key or keyphrase your coins are safe. They are stored on electrum servers, only accessible by your passphrase.

When I click on the claim interest button in Agama, on the next screen there does not seem to be a way to actually claim the interest accrued. It just shows the amount of KMD ready to claim. Am I missing something here?
