Absolutely, Bitcoin is money indeed because its real currency which we can deal and make our trades using it just like fiat and the other currencies, and even i found it better than fiat and altcoins

I do believe bitcoin has already showed its money, just because isnt printed we cant call it money? Bitcoin its the future, as in the future all will be made digital and money will stop being impressed, all digital, soo we are in the future being part of bitcoin.

I'm not going into all that debate and whatnot, all I know is that I can use bitcoin to buy things,
I can use it to pay for my bills, I can even convert it to cash anytime I want. So, as I see it, it's money.
More than that, like fiat it can buy things and like gold it's value could go up or down. Bitcoin does all these while making it easier for payments ;with the near instantaneous transactions and low fees then, as for the value; it could be both good and bad in terms of investmen/speculation becauee of the volatility.

When I heard about bitcoin its sounds money for me because of the group in the fb which name is "Pangkabuhayan sa Cyberworld" which are now "Pinoy Bitcoin". So it is not hard to know all about bitcoin in my case. The only thing hard is how to earn bitcoin, how it works and how it grows?

Bitcoin is sounds .its real money we are just using it as virtual money here online but you can convert it into fiat that you can use anytime in your country.. if you invest in bitcoin we can say that this is your own business because bitcoin is growing daily and the price of bitcoin is increasing or decrease every month there is changes price so if you are buy and sell bitcoin you can earn a good amount if you know the sets for margins.

Thanks for bringing this topic on the board, this one is a really important debate among bitcoin users and other investors who don’t see value in bitcoin.
I believe that bitcoin is new and thus it might face serious accusations against it but on a personal level I see a great future in this technology. Yes, bitcoin might have some disadvantages but we shouldn’t forget that it is in evolution stage and yet to evolve 100%. In any circumstances, users decide the price of anything so in bitcoin, we the users put the value in it so yes it is valuable for us and since we are constantly growing, I see a good financial position for bitcoin in near future.

We have digital, open-sourced and community-reviewed money worth more in a technical manner than what is issued by our governments. At what point did it become this bad?

There is no hard thing with the bitcoin because it is just another format of money. So, you will earn bitcoin similar to your fiat, or earn fiat, just convert it to bitcoins. To know how bitcoin works, in to be intermediate to advanced user, but learning slowly will get you a clear idea about it. To grow bitcoin, you need to go with safer methods, else you may get scammed. |

Perhaps when we backed government money not with gold or previous metals but debt itself. |

Bitcoin can be and is widely used as money. However, bitcoin is different than physical money in nature. For most people, we have yet to explain what gives bitcoin its value. In addition, we have yet to have them accept bitcoin. Bitcoin is not only money, though. Bitcoin is an investment, too, in itself.

nobody can predict the future, but to me sounds reasonable to "bet" in a crypto as the main currency form in the future. Well, i dont see another crypto taking bitcoin place any time soon so lets buy more bitcorns.

I don't understand why people keep comparing gold to bitcoin within the context of currency. Gold hasn't been used as currency for over a hundred years. People wear gold and the buy it to keep as an investment (store of value). When was the last time you saw some one buying something with gold coins? The only reason gold coins are made is for investment purposes, it's nostalgic to have it in an actual coin form.
Further gold is a metal. Bitcoin is electronic, not tangible, it's different on so many levels.
Gotta agree with this gentleman. Gold I do think is important to have in your portfolio (3-5%) but that's just for an investment. Bitcoin is an actual currency that could be used. If this was deadwood in the 1800's I would rather have gold lol. |

Honestly, I don't really care about the debate as to whether why bitcoin should be compared to gold and how is it that bitcoin has a value. As long as I can use bitcoin in earning and use it in my daily needs now by converting it to fiat since there is still limitations as to what bitcoin can buy then the debate for me by some authorities is irrelevant. |
