if Satoshi was looking for money the he would have dumped his coins a long time ago back in the time of $1200 level and then bough back and dumped again and again just like what many other altcoin developers are doing.

Maybe, he wanted to show the different nature of money and that it doesn't need government to exist, for example?

my thought is that you should read the bitcoin white paper.
bitcoin was created to introduce the new form of money that you said yourself too, a public ledger which is decentralized and helps us be our own bank.

The basic purpose of creating bitcoin would surely have been to create something new and independent which as you said does not need any government to exist for controling it or to give everyone a way to have money which is anonymous for anyone in the world and no one else can know you have something unless you let them know about it.

I do always wonder from where Satoshi got the core concept of creating such a new invention, bitcoin payment system. But I'm sure, after got frustration with some existing system, Satoshi might got the idea of getting new payment system that would replace all existing payment system/network. Internet and cryptography have supported Satoshi to have realized his dream.

I believe he created it with decentralization in his mind. he just wanted to make a currency that everyone could own a piece of but no one would OWN the currency.

Bitcoin was created to give the average person the ability to have an alternative to the mainline currencies and so, born primarily out of the 2008 financial crisis if I remember correctly. That's what's said anyway, based on the technology it looks more like it was in the design stages before 2008, but it was released in 2009 so I personally have no real idea.

Whatever I could conclude is that bitcoin is created to overcome the obstacles which we were facing in fiat, for example, limits in sending or receiving funds from one country to another. Especially for something that would push the traditional money a step forward, yes bitcoin is money 2.0 and it is emerging as a solution for the disadvantages of fiat. Just sharing my two cents.

No, how we could say Satoshi did not imagine what we are having right now with bitcoin ecosystem?
Moreover, Satoshi would have imagined and visualized many more other things too with the bitcoins, unfortunately due to some practical inappropriateness, he might have delayed them to implement with bitcoin system. Just my opinion.

I think you already answered your own questioned. But I'm gonna still also give my opinion to regarding that matter, Aside to help the people who got in the stage of financial problem, bitcoin created maybe for a the people who are losing of hope in achieving their dreams.

indeed, Mr. Satoshi Nakamoto didn't expect for what bitcoin situation we have right now. I think one the reason also is He/She want bitcoin to become one digital currency to be use worldwide.

If you look at the old posts that satoshi made about bitcoin generally you would see him as someone interested in technical aspect generally, I doubt it was made as a get-rich-quick scheme or anything like that, just as an interesting technical concept.
