Worst bitcoin decision you've ever made?

So far the worst bitcoin decision I have ever made is stopping to hoard bitcoin way back 2009 because I thought bitcoin was shit. I am now regretting that I have not continued to hoard bitcoin back then, I would have had a lot of money now if I have not stopped hoarding at that time. Because of that event I learned that investing effort in a coin must be in the right place, in the right time and the right coin.

It is hard to blame anybody. I was a victim also. Because of greed I tried to sign up with a website that they say will pay me something. After that the account that I have used is already gone or the password have been change. Greed will really make you lose something so better stay with the steady income without risking anything.

Being  greedy would really put us to a bad situation  on the  long run. As you said better to stay with a steady  income  without  risking  anything  would  be  also possible  and thats having a stable day  job you wont risk  anything. But here on  online world you would surely need to risk  money in able  to earn money too but there are thing could able you to earn without  investing any money from your pocket.

Yes slow and steady income is always better then fast way to earn them as it will surely bring risks for you and percentage of loosing money would be higher then making profits.

He just cheated me with failing to pass the needed details to me. I didn't done the trade with the escrow. completely got cheated because of this issue.

I thin you are talking about for scammers in newbie traders here and you invest.. he is talking about ponzi or HYIP that giving promises or fake promises that can attract people to invest their money if the owner of the scam site are satisfied and get their goal the withdrawal will freeze or you will experience of pending withdrawal. they will scam just like i experience in 2 sites before..

The decision of exploring faucets is not actually a worse decision as your journey started from there like everyone else and you had a experience there so later on your knew that you can earn way more than that.
And my worst decision have also been investing on HYIPS because i did not know what they actually are and thought that they might be true.

This one time I was buying when the Bitcoin was to high but I did not know that short after that the Bitcoin was going to drop again.
I was so mad because I could have bought more Bitcoin in the end but I was to greedy to buy them right away.

I think this is a common mistake, I often get this mistake on a trade. when I buy and then prices are falling, but when the price goes down again, I keep buying because I believe the price will rise again.

I owned royalty shares in Cryptsy and I made a profit but didnt realise it was so vulnerable.    Somehow they kept all the coins together and someone invented a new coin just to break open the vault and collect every wallets contents ?  

Why does nobody consider that would happen.   Anyhow I did sell some of what I made, the old failsafe is only gamble profits.   Learn from your mistakes, centralised money security is always targetted so it keeps happening to exchanges.      
Other mistakes are normal, not believing in bitcoin as useful during 2013 or earlier.    There would have been no harm taking an interest so I guess I was lazy there.


The largest centralised money system in the world is USA dollars, so if I can gain one thing from my loss its a knowledge that this system will break down.  Capitalism is not centrally controlled, its distributed and for this I think bitcoin deserves some faith in its system.  So long as its creators continue to respect distribution not central control, vs dollar btc should rise in value

I think this is a common mistake, I often get this mistake on a trade. when I buy and then prices are falling, but when the price goes down again, I keep buying because I believe the price will rise again.

That's just question of time, you can wait now and have some loses or wait for years and years to make some profit.
It's all about how much you have, you can withdraw this money and invest in others things.

Back then, when I first know bitcoin, I put my bitcoin on doubler site, and apparently that site was turned into scam. And other bad experience is with PTC site. I spent my bitcoin to buy some ads pack. At first, I reached my ROI and earned profit, and I bought again that ads pack. After a while, that PTC also turned into scam.

Actually i could not even think  what is the disadvantage  of bitcoin  which we could able  to  think bad with it, maybe its anonymity characteristics which is being used on  illegal but still the  wrong  is  on the  people  who uses  it not on bitcoin.  My worst decision that i ever made  with  my bitcoin when  i  invest to those scam cloudmining  ponzi site.
