Regrets:

 - Selling 1600 BTC in late 2012 between $12-$20
 - Selling 300 BTC @ $120
 - Buying 3TH of BFL 65nm ASIC's in 2012 instead of buying BTC direct. (Only positive is I got each MiniRig for $10K instead of others paying $23K in 2013)
 - Buying certain alt-coins

No Regrets:

 - Buying certain alt-coins
 - Investing in a BFL FPGA MiniRig in 2012 which shipped in 16 weeks from time of sale. (Sadly I sold most of the coins that generation made)
 - Buying 8.2TH of KnCMiner October & November (Mining is dead now and all ASIC producers are greedy...including KnC now)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Steps taken to try and correct the regrets:

 - Swing trading LTC, PPC, NMC has proven very profitable.  Increasing crypto holdings each day.

Worst decision so far was telling my dad I invested in bitcoin. My dad is a total bear and aside from what he hears in the occasional CNBC bitcoin segments on TV, he knows next to nothing about it. I absolutely dread having conversations with him now because it inevitably ends up with him telling me "bitcoin can go to zero". I can't imagine how he would react if he knew how much I really have invested in bitcoin (I'm all in!).

Don't tell him how much you have!

He will come along to like Bitcoin, tell us when it happens, we may be in the 4 digits by then

Being too loose with early BTC that I mined or bought for cheap. Examples:

- Opened an SR account and deposited 100 BTC in 2011 even though I don't do drugs. Never bought anything and forgot all about it until the Feds shut down SR and seized the funds.
- Left around 500 BTC in a Pirate Pass through account before he defaulted.
- Had around 200 BTC in a Starfish BCB deposit account before he too defaulted.
- Bought 2 AM blades (13 GH/s) for 50 BTC each.

On the other hand, I made plenty of good decisions that more than offset the bad ones.

I should have bought 100 times more bitcoin when I first heard of it, and I should have sold it when it is over $1000.  Smiley

When we didn't bought we regret not to and when we did we regret not to buy more, to have sold too early or to have invested badly

The truth is if it was a mistake not to buy then it is a mistake not to buy now

Sold my bitcoins @200 in the early 2013 price boom with the mindset that it will crash soon, I panicked and bought back in. The crash happened the same night. Sell high, buy higher ¯\(°_o)/¯

as long as you did not sell at 50 USD during the crash and just hold until >1000 USD, you have a nice profit Wink

I feel it is an easier decision to buy 50,000$ now than it was to buy 10,000$ a year ago at 100$/pop and not that much harder than buying at 5$ two years ago so no one should say that he regrets not to have buy more when it was 100$ if he doesn't buy 50k$ now

I presume not everyone will agree Wink

If Bitcoin will suceed big; the price now is extremely small, especially since we are pre-USD decline and pre-huge financial storm on the US and Europe

If it doesn't succeed you will have miss a bubble Wink

Being here in April 2013 and not getting into Bitcoin until Summer 2013. Forgetting about it for a bit until October right before Price went up to $1,000.

But hey, I'm here now!

Using BTC to gamble on BTC sportsbooks.  Price ended up going down so it was like you had to win just to break even in fiat.

That's a bummer, but if you were able to lose 10, you probably still has a decent amount behind right?
