My first asic miner pointed at ZetaCoin for about two weeks. I averaged down my position as it dropped from 800 satoshis down to 150, at which point I was sitting on about 8 million zet. Went to sleep with that whole balance in BTC and woke up to zetaCoin at 5200!! Would have been worth almost $50k at that point.

Not paying attention to bitcoin when I first learned about it back in 2011. I saw the price rise to $30 then crash to $3 and even made an account on Mt Gox and browsed some threads on Bitcointalk.org but I never bought any BTC until a couple of months ago.

I wish that I would have put a lot more money into BTC from the start. I only wish I heard about it in 2011 and got in then. I didn't hear about BTC until later. I also lost a bit in ASICs. I've been trying to stay away from that for awhile.

Same, but in about October 2010. After that, in my next experience with BTC, buying 2 BTCs at $40 each. And still dont start mining Actually: Not have been bold enough to mortgage my home to buy a shitload of BTCs at 350€ each. But oh well.

Like many others the worst mistake i made was gambling. I lost some gambling too It was fun when the BTC price was like 80$ and i was risking about 10-20$ but when it went to 1000$ i regret a little. But, oh well cannot predict any future. Also dont know anybody offering this service for BTC

Not selling any coins in Jun 2011 was my worst decision.
Not buying any coins in Jun 2011 was my worst decision. Because that was around the time I first heard about the concept of Bitcoin. BTC was what? $15-30 back then? That is still an enormous bargain compared to now... EDIT: I once heard that most of the people who became rich off BTC weren't the early adopters but the ones who bought in 2011. Many early adopters either lost their coins or sold them too early.

But I'm sure there have been some believers with strong hands

I kept some bitcoin on inputs.io It was less than 1 bitcoin, and I recovered 70% of the loss in the initial payouts from TradeFortress. Unfortunately, I was also advertising for inputs.io at the time....felt pretty dirty.

i left some bitcoin on an exchange account (bitstamp, but it could have been anywhere) without a strong password OR 2-factor authorization. (i know, i know) .... it was back when bitcoins were only worth < $70, so it didnt seem like that much money. hurts to think about now.

Investing a huge amount of money in the Coin2x scam, it went down 3 hours before my payment. Unlucky but... very stupid decision.
