Don`t be surprised by such frequent interest.. At least, me and my 2 friends are holding Q2C for 3 months and therefore are interested in coin development.. |

Ouch! Is this really been over 11hours between new blocks? How about we just rebrand totally this coin? Something catchy like the Ex-Convict Coin (EXC) and change the algorithm altogether to just make it gpu mineable again? #IBelieveInRehabilitation hahaha

I was joking and I'm in no hurry whatsoever, but it's just that the name of this coin is kind of closely tied to his algorithm, if there would be a dramatical change in the algorithm, would the name still be relevant? That's why I was saying ''rebranding''... |

OK. I'm tired of lies and waiting for all people that promise something and then don't do anything. Since Willowrose is not replying since January this year, I made a fork on GitHub: https://github.com/zex24/QubitCoinThings I've done so far are: - Added Makefile for dependencies so they can actually be build for cross compiling - Updated seed nodes and used jemekite's (panambeng's) alternated bitcoin DNS seeder (changed to suit Qubitcoin network) to run one DNS seed node (tested and working OK) https://github.com/jemekite/q2c-seeder There is just small code change needed to make this fully work. I will upload it later. - Fixed splash screen - Added check points (Some of these things I still need to upload to GitHub but I tested it and wallet is working fine) Regarding difficulty re-targeting time I'm afraid that whatever we put (make it shorter) we will always have problem because of ASICs. That's why I think the best thing would be to change hashing algorithm - something ASIC resistant. The other project I had in my mind is still in program but same like this it will probably have to be done by me. This is the splash screen so if you have suggestions to make it better we can change it.  |

zex good job, you're right with this asics. New q2c algorithm based on asics-resistant qubit would be the best solution. Verium (vrm) is only cpu, it's about defining memory that gpu also did not have a big hashrate. but I do not know it well
