Update : our greatest dev has just implemented and demonstrated working SPV (Simple Payment Verification). What this basically means is the balance of an account is not relying on the node state but is computed from blockchain directly (the SPV client only downloads the block headers, which are much smaller than the full blocks).

Thanks for the update, looks good!

One of our team went to the blockchain conference in Bucharest  http://d10e.biz/ .  We keep up to date and had some flyers and stuff made up to do some PR.

Nothing huge but progress Cheesy  Adrian really did a great job there.

Finally something to cheer about, update like this will help, Bitcoin seems to be on a strong rally now until March 11, when decision on ETF would be made. I hope Ark token will hit the market to take advantage of this spike in price of Bitcoin

Is ARK source code written from scratch or is it based on an existing code source (e.g. Lisk or Crypti)?

And what programming language and technology is used to create ARK?

Just keeping everyone up to date :

- Testnet is running awesome!

You can also readme (how to install, what has been implemented, future implementations, ... ) :

https://arkecosystem.github.io/ark-node/docs/README.html

And some code documentation for all of those interested :

https://arkecosystem.github.io/ark-node/docs/blockchain.html

ARK started as a fork from LISK, but lot of modules, management, DB logic and ARK logic has been rewritten from scratch making it leaner, faster and more optimized - you could say its a lot different than LISK. ARK uses JavaScript (NodeJS, ... ) as a programming language, but you could eventually interact with ARK with other programming languages (a community member already wrote Python API for ARK : https://github.com/Moustikitos/arky ) and I think other languages will follow. Its using bitcoin algorithms to generate addresses (all ARK addresses start with capital A) and thus will be compatible with a lot of bitcoin related stuff with a bit of modifications. Hope that answers your question - if you need more technical one you can join our slack ( https://ark.io/join-ark-slack/ ) and contact our main dev "fixcrypt" .
