wonder how much those Amazon gift cards are gonna be for from Bitmain if at all ? . no complaints no matter how low it is I was super supersized to see it . .I get one I mined a little more BtC there then what you need to . if I wasn't z cash mining and went looking for a Zcash PPS pool to mine on i would have missed out . look at the ant pool front page . https://www.antpool.com/home.htmMore of Roger Ver/Viabtc/Bitmain's collusion to take over a majority of the hashrate. Exactly why we need a community miner instead of Bitmain gear

Yeah, there's no gimmick that could ever get me to mine at antpool.

The "and give nothing in return" is the tricky part. Nobody gets as big as Bitmain by giving things out for free. May look like it, but they expect to profit somehow. Starting their own pool was just another means of getting more money in the first place, and I'll be darned if I'm gonna give anything to them.
I mean I owe Bitmain some thanks for selling me BM1384 chips in the first place, but pretty much everything else they've done in the last year and a half (crap hardware, crap support, price wars and price gouging, you name it) stinks quite a bit.
Anyways, independently designed and manufactured miners. Novak recently made the comment after hearing about all these projects - "you could basically remake the small miner market." That'd be okay; small miners have been staunchly ignored for most of the last two years.

I don't if you have any kind of list going, but I would like to be on there for at least one stick when they are ready. Maybe more depending on finalized specs/price.

I'll pick up a few of the s3/s5 retrofit boards if they are cheaper than an s9 per Ghs. If we can get the price that low I'd buy quite a few btc worth. If it costs more than an s9 per Ghs I honestly have the price to performance gremlin to contend with. I know that this will be more well built than an s9, so all Im really in it for at this point is the build quality. That and the desire to save a few dollars.
Build quality often is the most important thing however.

if the bf pods don't break and allow a good range in efficiency they can cost more then the s9 per gh if they do .08 to .12 watts a gh that is big if they do .075 to .13 watts even better say 1th at 100 watts is the middle point would be sweet. I am down for 2 2 chip sticks I am down for 5-10 pods.

As others have said, I am a buyer of the BF Pods at that price. Definitely looking forward to them.

The BF pods are definitely interesting, might pick up a few depending on what other options show up by then.

Tentative pricing for a Bitfury 16nm pod is around $125. My reseller friends are worried that >$100 is too much for a pod miner. With an estimated stock setting of about 650GH at 75W DC, would folks still buy it? That's priced high even by Avalon721 standards, but it also has better efficiency - and with integrated undervolting, it can get better still.
I'm still mining with 2 s5s, the wattage difference alone would pay for themselves quickly. 150 watts for the same speed as an s5 yet quieter, yes please. If I have the funds I will surely take a few.

There's really no way I'll be able to beat Bitmain on pricing, since I'm not paying factory price for the chips (which they can since they made the chips, I'm buying from the maker who has to profit from that sale) and I'm not paying slave-driver wages for assembly. Bitmain can beat pretty much anyone on price if they wanted to, and they've proved it in the past.
What I'd give you is a product not intended to operate continually at extreme conditions so less likely to break down, with a better warranty and certainly better warranty service, and inherent ability to undervolt for improved efficiency down the line which can greatly extend the viable lifetime. Right now on the refit boards, I'm designing for 3 independent strings per board, which means each string's core voltage can be adjusted individually. It's also possible to adjust each string's operating frequency independently, if that's built into the driver. And since each string will have its own temperature sensor, that gives a lot of flexibility for optimizing each board.
Depending on the efficiency of your power source, and how much power is eaten by fans, 0.08J/GH should be attainable.

I'm not asking to make fun i really want to know . !!!.

@sidehack
Great to see progress here. I hadn't checked this in some time. I'm most happy to be wrong about punin. Like I said a man only as good as his word. Maybe me calling him out on twitter helped to move things along. Of course he blocked me right after. I don't know why. Truth must be hard for him to handle. Anyway. Matt have you had any luck with those psu's I ordered. Like I said no hurry just wanted to see what you had in mind on timeline. Thanks for the continued support of the community. I understand it will cost more but having a community is worth it. Not everything that is good in this world can be profitable.
Best Regards d57heinz

Absolutley in !! Too much time is passed without low power (& high efficient, reliable) asic on the market. I think that pod will sell as much units as the stick. Home miners are angry, time to revenge.

I'm down for a number of the 2pacs, if I can find a nice 7-10 port hub that will run them.
The pods interest me greatly, I'll have free power for 5 months in the new year in a hotel room, could REALLY use them by then! Even the sticks!
Sign me up for the first batch!

Haha same, count me in on a 2-chip or even three! Huge fan of small miners that don't use much electricity, I'll probably replace some of my USB rig with these once they come out. I would preorder if I could, but looks like Sidehack is too focused on a quality product and delivery I'll also be buying a few pods, not missing out on this after I missed the Compac sale!

If there could be a top/bottom connector for power sharing across pods (something like a pod tower), it would be awesome. Even if it can share a single USB connection somehow.... But I'm assuming that's a little more advanced than you want to get with a first run

Loved the Compacs, still running like a charm, and can't wait for all the new 2pac and the BF stuff, definitely want a couple of each.
Not sure if you are this far down the road but are you planning on licensing to any one in the UK/EU again, like bitshopper?
