Today I try to pass the KYC verification procedure via my phone (the previous one was from my PC) and it seems that it was successful. It doesn't take long (a couple of minutes) and it was pretty easy if you have your doxs ready. By the way, does anyone knows if there will be any e-mail regarding our KYC approval or the only new notice from GT will be about the next phase initiation?
Glad to hear that you successful pass the KYC verification , and yeah looks like it works with a Smartphone better as on other devices. You dont get any Email when you successful done the KYC , just loggin into your Claims Portal Account and if all is good , there should be written " Confirmation Thank you for adding your Identification documentation " . You only will get an Email when something was going wrong with the KYC or if there is an issue with it.

Well, that's what I see in my account, plus my reference number, so I guess I'm all good to go. Hopefully, the next e-mail will be for getting to the next phase and not for a KYC issue. Do we know about the funds that will be distributed back to holders? As far as I know, it wouldn't be the 100%.

Can you please explain what do you mean by that? There is a way to do something faster? Besides, they need a court order regarding both unclaimed funds and their distribution, along with the funds that were claimed and waiting to be distributed. As far as I know, court orders for such cases are not as fast as we all want...

Maybe someone has some fresh data about how communication is going on with the team dealing with the issue of liquidation and compensation to affected users of the Cryptopia exchange, and then there has been no news here for almost three months, which does not look optimistic.

So it looks like you dont have readed the last Liquidator update fully then ! If there will be coming any news or updates i will for sure post the links to them here. So the only thing we can do is to wait til we get some news from the Liquidators. Where to go for updates We appreciate that you want to be advised of our progress on the Cryptopia liquidation with our next statutory report due in June 2022 however, we expect to provide an update on legal applications before this date. We will continue to update you as further information comes to hand and provide updates on the claims process.

Interesting information, it's strange that for the active repentance of Cryptopia employee Michael Glazer, who committed the theft of private keys, the judge went to divulge his name, is this an attempt to intimidate this person in order to prevent him from disclosing some not convenient information, especially since many, as the article says, have already received threats.

You're reading a lot into that. Maybe because most people who create serious crimes are named? Why would he not be named?

You're reading a lot into that. Maybe because most people who create serious crimes are named? Why would he not be named? I am for the names of the criminals to be disclosed, but in the case when the process is completed and the victims have received compensation, and the criminal has deserved punishment. It's just that in this case the process is not complete and the demonstration of the disclosed episode as some kind of progress, especially since he actually confessed to the theft himself, seems to me not very productive, that's all I meant.

Nope I'm all for naming and shaming those that commit crime. So many people here in NZ get name suppression, and show no remorse when in court. They need to know if they fuck someone over they will be outed as an asshole to all that know them.

Thank you for the updated information on the ongoing procedure, I wonder what time all this can take if only less than 10% of all cryptopia customers (..... more than 82,000 users in the registration process......However, we are dealing with over 900,000 account holders) are in the process of registering, it should take years.

Just a word of warning.... What happened to Cryptopia could happen to any exchange. Nobody at all should be keeping their coins on an exchange unless they are intending to trade them. Other than that they should be held by the owner otherwise you risk losing them - it is that simply.
What happened at Cryptopia should serve as a lesson to us all. Just because an exchange has been around for some time and has almost zero complaints against them does not mean another Cryptsy or Cryptopia will not happen.
Please be careful with you crypto, it is after all investment and money whichever way you look at it.

Ya don't say: Armstrong Downes Commercial creditor trying to replace liquidators https://www.stuff.co.nz/business/industries/128740317/armstrong-downes-commercial-creditor-trying-to-replace-liquidators?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter - Archive [ 1a] [ 1b] Melanie Carroll15:03, May 24 2022 A large creditor of failed Wellington construction company Armstrong Downes Commercial is trying to replace the liquidators with someone with “some teeth” to ensure subcontractors get paid.
Armstrong Downes (ADC) shareholders had appointed David Ruscoe and Russell Moore from Grant Thornton as liquidators. However, Lower Hutt developer Kevin Melville, whose High St Holdings 2020 Ltd was a client, said he wanted to replace them with Damien Grant of Waterstone Insolvency as the new liquidator.
“He doesn’t care if people don’t like him, he’s going to go after these guys, and I think that’s the right thing for the subbies, end of story,” Melville said.
“I just want a stronger receiver with some teeth that’s going to bite into Tony [Doile] and Simon [Taylor].”
