Sounds like positive news and I welcome it    I kept my ZCL and moved it to an Exchange just in case the Electrum Wallet stopped working after BTCP team shuts down their servers.

I'd like to see a resurgence.  ZClassic is mineable, and it's already available on exchanges.  It's a known quantity.  It can survive and thrive provided it has a community.

If it's true that there is a new dev team then there is a good chance for ZCL to come back to life. Let's see what the new team has to say if it's true.

Well everything has been dumping and there are no signs of any coin, let alone zclassic, heading back up anytime soon! But hey I like your optimism.

It is still being kept at high value than it deserves. It will be back at the price level of December from where it started before the announcement of fork was thrown here. I just can hope people will see opportunity to recover whole or portion of their losses brought by this in future from BTCP. That still is pretty much relevant to show some come back.

Loss no one will return. It was a very well planned pump. I myself became a victim when I arbitrated from cryptopia to bittrex, and my wallet (bittrex) was already closed without an announcement.

that's what they do often times. I stopped trying to complete those arbitrage trades a long time ago exactly because of those issues.

In the near future, all anonymous coins will be prosecuted by law and large exchanges will remove them from their trading pairs, which will entail a fall in the price of these coins/tokens

This has no similarity with Bitconnect if you find something than share with us. What is your source about this. Actually that is different parameter about anonymous coins and on other that is just a ponzi scam.

There are no new developers. The old ones have given up. ZCL is dead, but I must say, Rhett Creighton after every 6 months or so comes up with some interesting fork or something for ZCL (of course after he buys it damn cheap) and it raises the price. So the value can go down to 0.0002 BTC once again (most likely) or it may also go up to 0.02 BTC once again after few months depends upon what scamming strategy Rhett brings up the next time. Short story, right now, ZCL is totally dead.

I'd be cautious regarding anyone claiming to continue supporting ZClassic without hearing it from the former ZCL (current BTCP) team directly. Seems like an easy way to scam people into downloading a 'new' wallet/software that lets others steal ZCL balances, etc.

However, if I can add to this on somewhat of a tangent, it would be good if the (ZCL replacement dev team) selection process was made to be transparent. So the public can see who's submitting proposals - in fact, if the proposals were written up as public Github repos/issues/gists, that would be ideal. Keeps all parties honest - otherwise, the BTCP team can just say that 'no one submitted quality proposals' and let ZCL die. Not cool.

The speed at which our team continues to execute is important to note. Many often times forget that this is a new contribution team that has mostly come together in early January. There are no members of the original Zclassic team on the current contribution team besides Rhett, and this is a testament to how much the community has rallied together in such a short period of time to create such a powerful open source initiative.

I'm hopeful this means we really do have a team that wants to resume work on ZClassic.

I'm hopeful this means we really do have a team that wants to resume work on ZClassic.

Does this mean that Rhett didn't abandon ZClassic? The new team is not an approved team? Better make this clear. Don't download the new ZCL wallet for the moment.
