NO, Zclassic was not a free coin / hardfork for Zcash users.. it was a code fork and a totally new coin that did NOT inherit ZEC transactions/UTXO
it only inherited the code MINUS the founders' tax, premine, slow start..Hi, I've found this thread reading BlockchainForums, it's discussed there in relation to Zcash and Zencash https://blockchainforums.info/topic/388/zencash-vs-zcash-all-you-need-to-know/4I was surprised by "20% Founders Reward is removed." So really ZCash founders have 20% of ZCash (or had in the beginning) For me that's a lot, especially considering the price of ZCash! Definitely ZClassic has a room to grow! iM sad but not surprised that the wikipedia article was removed, but there's a latest copy of it here, right before unfair DELETION: http://web.archive.org/web/20180322010119/https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zclassic Zclassic started as a fork of Zcash on November 5, 2016, eight days after Zcash's own release.
At launch, the only differences between them was that Zclassic waived the 20% miners fee for its founders, and supply was not artificially limited at its creation (i.e. no "slow start" for blocks). Zclassic kept the same defining parameters of Zcash, such as the use of the ASIC-resistant equihash timestamping scheme, and a total supply of 21 million units.
Great, thanks for additional info! I didn't know that the difference was only 8 days. So probably Zcash owners do not have Zclassic amounts? (Like in Bitcoin Cash fork every Bitcoin holder receive same amount of Bitcoin Cash).. "MINUS the founders' tax, premine, slow start" - you mean tax (or may be better to say royalty?) to founders of ZCash? How long was premine and slow start? It seems it's profitable for miners to join on slow start and mine a lot of coins... I was just wondering whether this tax that goes towards the ZCASH guys will be coded into the protocol forever? Or will there be a last block with that tax?

this coin is dominated by bots, they are going to expel all the real buyers and to be left bots operating at the price that you want. It is the worst currency there is, I am at a loss of 50% of the money. But I already knew the risk and invested little, but it is the last time I invest, because if they buy they will lower the value even more! Stop buying the coin! because every time they buy more they will lower the value. according to her chart, it's likely to be down to $ 7. Even the bots are eventually run by humans. Just set clear price goals, put your order on the books and either it gets executed or it doesn't. Not worth nothing with it the whole day if a lot of bots are involved. True here, but sometimes the bot trading is really annoying. The fact alone that you know that there is a bot sometimes makes you not trade at all. Well I guess you have to get over it if you want to trade in the future There will always be bots and they will only become better over time. Seriously just set price goals and put your orders on the book. No doubt about that, but from a perspective of an amateur trader it means less fun. Although sometimes I think these bots also create a good deal of liquidity.

Buy the rumor, sell the news.. Alrighty then! ZCL just got added to Changelly and ledger nano s and there's a rumor that there is a interview this Sunday in regards to a new ZCL fork... So if Monero can fork out 4 new projects over night, I'm pretty Zclassic can squeeze another out another golden egg.
But what is the reason for even fork the whole thing to then build something more valuable? Shouldn't people get bored even more with every single new fork popping up out of nowhere? Exactly this is how speculation is described. Some coins are serving just speculating purposes only . I can say the most of them right now. No ideology or vision for freeing the transactions worldwide like the first btc idea. Just a money making machine for the very few "smart" devs That is what I often think. A real money printing machine for good software developers and even sometimes for bad developers who just disappear.

why Zclassic is needed, if there is Bitcoin Private? don`t understand...
If you think a little bit more about it shouldn't you come to the results that you could post that comment in 1,000 other threads, too? The forking won't end, it will go on forever. It will be interesting to see where the privatization of money takes us eventually. I think this coin isn't still attractive with many investors and it has no special technology in the future because it 's only fork of ZEC . This is what I don't want to join this project for my long-term investment. Sticking with the larger ones has been a good strategy so far. And even if you just collected all the forked coins for your Bitcoin holdings and sold them, that's a nice dividend.

Exactly and if a fork is announced like happened with ZCL, you should know it is almost already too late to get in at a fair price as those who plan to fork already filled their bags.
