Actually, how does the site make money?

Referral is 20% but commission on investment is only 10% of profits... Assuming perfect ev, the site loses that extra 10% whenever a referred player is playing because it pays out more in affiliate commission than it earns in investment commission. In fact, with the opening bonus in the affiliate system, the site doesn't even get commission because it's all distributed among the affiliate partners...

I assume the site depends on the admin investments and non-referral players for its income? Sounds extremely risky to me

Well you don't know how heavy was the initial investment Wink
And let's be clear: the site is still new and needs the huge traffic necessary for every gambling site stability.

Sure the commission is huge right now, but it might change in the future for new referrals if there is less need for new players.
Anyway as the signature campaign manager I never had any problem concerning payments, until now they keep their words. And considering the amount of effort put into the site development, I don't see it as a short term project ^^

Sorry, I'm still noob about investment I want ask simple Q If I'm invest 0.01 , for how long I can expect a profit , usually ?

Usually -> somewhere between 0.1 seconds and multiple years. Worst case never and/or you lose everything.

Ahahah xD
That's what I call a 100% precision answer!
"maybe, sometime, it depends" thanks captain obvious Wink

Anyway if you invest you will probably have a quick profit simply because of the house edge of the site. but as retrocoingames said, it's still all a question of luck!

haha it was asked by a legendary member, seemed like a strange one from someone who has been around so long. Felt like a signature spam comment, so had to answer with something like that  Grin

As far as i know if you want to get profit, you really need to hope that some big whale lose a lot. By this mean you are not aiming for roi right? To get some decent amount you really need to put some huge amount of or may be at least 1 btc to see a good profit. You are not hoping that using 0.01 btc to earn or even double your bankroll by investing on some gambling site. This will be pointless

Profit is a wide term, and since this value is updated pretty frequently at yolodice, the technically correct answer would be almost immediately, unless the house had just suffered a loss after you have invested.

However, if you want to have some idea about how much you can expect to get, you need to use some theory. To calculate what profit you are most likely will get, you need to take the amount of BTC wagered by players over some period (for example 1 month), multiply it by the House Edge, and then multiply by your share in the bankroll..

Seems like he won't spam much more from now on (I guarantee it)

Yolo Dice is a perfect example of the good surprise for investors!
We went from a -9BTC loss to a 50BTC profit in... 2 days I believe?
And that was with a bankroll of not even 130BTC
The roi of that investment was INCREDIBLE. So yeah you can double, even triple your amount with a bit of luck Wink

I guess it's better for someone to try investing that keep asking, investing in gambling sites is cheap here so anyone with a good source of income can even try it for fun. Actually, I always believe that although sometimes it's based on luck, but considering you are with the house you still win in the long run. One should have patience in investment as the earning is not constant and the return is not fast as we think.

Yes, every business require patience in other to make the right move at the right time and every business must accept debt but the debt must not be more than the profit that's why the earning is not constant. Speaking of investment. What is the minimal requirement amount in btc to invest on Yolodice?

If you don't know, just kindly please go to their site(yolodice.com) then, register, if you don't have an account there, then after that, go to their INVESTMENT, and you will see there their conditions and terms and all the information about their investments, simply as that. Smiley

You will not loose everything, that's almost impossible. Because 1% house edge is enough to make profit on the long term. You can only loose everything if you invest with 10X leverage, or the site owners pull out an exit scam, but that's very unlikely.

I love gambling at your site and also like the feature of instant payments I only had one problem is it possible to remove that fees because if you see it in terms of competition most of the sites don't take fees and also withdraws instantly.

Hi,

since our site operates on small margin I cannot see a way to offer free instant withdrawals. An everage tx fee we send is ~0.0003 BTC and we have already processed over 1.5k withdrawals. I don't think it's in the interest of investors to sponsor withdrawals. On the other hand, I am thinking about less expensive withdrawal option, see discussion few pages back.

Regarding site earnings -- indeed the site spendings (on affiliates, giveaways etc.) are larger now than what it theoretically earns, but:

1. we are also investors in the site and this gives us some extra funds (we invest at lower leverages to provide a stable base for the bankroll, so earnings are not as large as some people think),
2. I am totally OK with having little or even no profit until the YD gets more players/investors etc.

Cheers,
Ethan

PS. Check out our Wagering Contest if you haven't: https://yolodice.com/#stats/scores . It's getting interesting.

Somehow they take profits here too. If those fees wont be implemented then there can be chaos there.
Imagine players withdrawing even with the minimum amount. That is a lot of traffic and might affect the speed of the games also.
And I think the fees are somehow acceptable rather than other gambling site.

indeed, i think 1% is enough too, because for 0.1 btc, we can get at least 0.001 btc so it still worth it for long term. the only our concern is when the site is getting scam and we should worried about this because what we invest is gone with the site.

You can still invest, and it's pretty easy to do so.  Just click the Invest section of YD, and it will explain it there, as well as in the FAQ.  You can invest as little as 0.01 BTC.

To explain it briefly, you basically pick the amount you want to invest, and how much leverage, if any.  Leveraging is basically borrowing from the house to increase your investment.  For example, a 1x investment is no leverage, meaning it's 100% your money, and you would only lose 100% of your investment if the house lost 100% of its bankroll.  Say you invest 0.05 on a 5x leverage; the house lends you 0.20 for a total of 0.25 invested, however, if the house loses 20% of its effective bankroll, you lose your whole investment.

It's basically a way for users and investors to manage the amount of risk and returns they want to take.

The House Edge was always 1%, it was never higher than that.  I was here the day YD opened publicly and the House Edge was 1% then too, so I have no idea what you mean.
