Is the json feed down?  Getting an error with my custom page.

Thanks

JR

How often are you polling?  The DDoS protection might have flagged you as a possible bot.

PM me your IP and I'll whitelist you.

Adam,

Please disable your Incapsula protection for api: it just doesn't work
This is what I get:
Code:
<html><head>
<META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW"></head><iframe src="/_Incapsula_Resource?CWUDNSAI=23_6474EB71&incident_id=32000460203925730-626275625545499365&edet=12&cinfo=43b835aac753818f04000000" frameborder=0 width="100%" height="100%" marginheight="0px" marginwidth="0px">Request unsuccessful. Incapsula incident ID: 32000460203925730-626275625545499365</iframe>
</html>

Yeah I saw this also when I hit the json feed from one of those online json viewers.  Probably what my app is getting. If I open it on PC directly it opens after 15 seconds or so, usual slow response. On my web server hosting provider exits almost immediately.

Hopefully when my ip is added to the exception list it will work and be an answer.

JR

Edit:  taking an educated guess. Wonder if the json pull is not conveying a user agent string the system likes and thinking its a bot. Gonna have to try that when I'm near a computer.

Over 200 hours or over 7 days for a BTC block.
Really... There is to much competition for BTC pools, the only winners are DDOS company's.
Bitminter as black lotus
This pool as Incapsula
Etc...

The only time this pool as had ddos attack seems to be when it became a BTC pool.

So is it worth it?

EDIT: Is it worth having a BTC pool?

A SHA256 multipool without BTC would be pointless as BTC is most profitable over 90% of the time. The pool needs more hash rate to work but at 1.5% fee it doesn't compete with some others that already have much larger has rates.

And the other SHA-256 profit-switching pools are... ?

It's a service that's not available elsewhere (unless you do it yourself).  If there's a SHA-256 profit switching pool out there that charges less than 1.5% then maybe I'll consider reducing the fee.

I agree, yes you are the only SHA-256 profit-switching pool and it's great idea. Easier than doing it yourself. Maybe limited time special offer fee to attract enough hash here. I'm currently paying 1% and getting NMC merged mining as well but have to switch manually or with cgwatcher.

I want to be able to be logged in from multiple devices/IPs in the same time.
Can you enable this?
As more people are managing the account, the constant typing of the password is a waste of time each time and slows us down.
Appreciate it  Smiley

Any update on the JSON?  Not sure if my PM'd IP was added to the exception list.  I am noticing Incapsula is screwing everything up?  See the custom CAPTCHA page you were telling me about but obviously can't enter the code when it's a vendor's webserver.  I have 6 miner systems and need this feed to monitor what my individual machines are doing as the standard website shows for each coin what each miner is doing (if one machine has 3 cards and each mining a different coin, each worker shows 3 times) and I've consolidated it in various ways to know easily if a miner has stopped.  Even getting 404 error iframe boxes on the screen when it's trying to connect.  When I do a refresh of the page, the URL changes to.

http://localhost/_Incapsula_Resource?CWUDNSAI=23_06D98857&incident_id=133000630312744962-1253996524770493430&edet=12&cinfo=180db217c753818f04000000

I am trying this on my local computer which is on my personal network to eliminate my hosting provider from the issues.  Which apparently shows Incapsula is mucking things up.  I have tried my thought of passing a user agent but doesn't do anything.  Guess just like other acts of terrorism, if you want to call a DDOS attack terrorism, they are winning.  Making our lives more difficult to deal with.  Sorry to go all philosophical but for me a deal breaker.  Not really your problem Flound if there is no way around it to protect yourself but what you gonna do.

FYI:  Can't tell date of the thread, but looks like a common issue with this protection: http://www.enjin.com/forums/m/10826/viewthread/4539356-accessing-enjin-api-through-php-gives-404-or-redirect

I was given a private IP by Flound which did work for my API reader. But this is not a permanent solution to redirect everybody to a private IP address to use an API. API pages cannot be protected by Incapsula, because it is intended to be used between a browser and a website. API on the other hand is not accessed from the browser most of the time but rather it is access by some script (unfortunately DDOS attacks are done by the scripts as well) . So the error messages should not be in HTML but they should be in JSON as API is using json as an output.

I see cryptsy is using a separate domain/IP address for its API for the reasons listed above.

Thanks for the reply. Hopefully for the short term Flounder will get back to me with a  solution for me, alternative address or whitelist if possible. I love the amount of info shared in the site unlike some other multi pool like sites, but can't stand not having my consolidated mobile view.

Thanks.

Anyone else thinking mining is becoming pointless?  Especially with the rise in BTC value?  Most alt coins have plummeted. I normally cash in my alt coins but had .27 BTC worth of alt coins in Cryptsy last night. Today after a night mining worth now worth .16. I'm loosing money while I mine and don't even pay for electricity for it.

I think you need to look at mining income in fiat unless your utility company charges in BTC. If BTC went up 30% against the USD and also 30% against alt coins then nothing changed other than the number of BTC you made.

OMG, convert our BTC daily income to USD or EUR to know how much we really earn!!! What a shocking and brilliant idea!!!

Sorry for the sarcasm, I can't help it.

BTW, altcoin mining is crashing a lot faster than BTCUSD growing.

No need to say sorry. I enjoy sarcasm, both giving and receiving. Yes you are right, alts took a hit against fiat as well, also my electricity company announced a price rise and these two factors have ended my mining exploits. Good luck to all those with cheaper power who can continue.

For the short term I'm still mining. Just not selling any of my coins. Oddly since I wrote the original message still haven't made anything.  I am hashing a bit over 4 MHs and all the coins I'm getting, conversion value to BTC keeps dropping. In the event things turn around, I'll be well positioned to eventually sell my alt coins.

My bet is most of those coins will be worth even less than today. Very few will survive to be sold higher later.

The reason most of them were higher is due to speculation.  Now that BTC is going up a lot of people are cashing out to sell for fiat.  That, combined with a lot of panic selling, is what's going on right now.

When BTC drops or levels off, people will start playing around with alts again.
