SAv5 works on windows7 and on r9280x. 75-80sol/s. almost same hashrate with claymore but without fees.

bro,

is there any effect for the windows that we used?

as an example currently u use win7

how about 8.1?

8?
some of my friend said for mining is better to go windows 10

what is your words dude?

thanks

No difference, as long as you install cgwin correctly. Claymore find more shares at the same speed. Im still letting it run to see if SA will catch up.

Amount of shares doesn't mean anything. Every share is a different weight. Pools balance the share size so you submit a share every few 30 seconds or so. It doesnt affect your overall speed.

I set the same difficulty level on the same pool. Receiving the same nonce.

Hmm, maybe its just luck should even out in a few hours. Highly doubt its displaying the incorrect speed.

Will let it run further but initial 24hours claymore finds 27% more.

Do you confirm then that there's a 27% difference in the amount of coins obtained?

Because if there's a delta like that, it means that there's the need to make further studies in this matter, to understand the real gains due client/server side hashrate, shares and so on.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

It seems many people are having issues modifying their straps with older GPUs using Hex Editor. I literally had about 50-60 PMs people BEGGING for me to modify their bios. I stopped doing it because it was time consuming. I will post the GPUs I currently have which I am using. I am getting very close to 90 Sol/s on each of my 7950 / 7970 / 280x using these straps with Claymore V4 using "-i 1". If you have a crappy CPU, you won't get 90 Sol/s, you might get between 75-80 Sol/s.

Just flash these straps at your own risk, if you have no idea what you are doing, then leave this thread now. I assume NO RESPONSIBILITY if you brick your GPU, messed up your memory chips, etc. YOU HAVE TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE CORRECT MEMORY. ELPIDA WONT WORK WITH HYNIX STRAPS.

These straps are basically modified with these timings

I set the memory clock lower so you can increase into the higher straps if you aren't having stability problems.

The straps are

1375 MHz (1001-1375 MHz) - AFR 1000MHz Memory Timings, tight
1550 MHz (1376-1550 MHz) - AFR 1125MHz Memory Timings, tight
1700 MHz (1551-1700 MHz) - modified AFR 1250MHz Memory Timings by The Stilt, tight
1900 MHz (1701-1900 MHz) - modified AFR 1375MHz Memory Timings by The Stilt, tight

So start at 1400Mhz, if it works try 1575 and see which is better. Even try 1701 but I doubt it will be much faster.

ASUS R9 280X with HYNIX AFR memory

https://mega.nz/#!zwl1WDIa!kLFqZgCkMPiH1DOQe3Rg3FbQHpXZN-xq_CdmREBha04

Slight undervolt to 1.075V, 1070/1600.
MSI Might say 1375 for mem but its 1600 since I didn't update the previous DPM field in VBE.

ASUS 7970 with HYNIX MFR memory

Slight undervolt. 1100/1400.
Try running at 1575 Mem, I had one GPU lock up at that mem freq so I am leaving it lower at 1400.

GIGABYTE 7950 with HYNIX AFR Memory

Slight undervolt. 1000/1400.
Try running at 1100/1575.

GIGABYTE 7970 with HYNIX AFR Memory

Slight undervolt. 1050/1400.
Try running at 1100/1575.

What speeds is everyone getting with Claymore 5? Mine are peaking at 120H/s with Hynix mem

Which is pretty much my 470 and R9 290 speeds

Alright I finally found a good ELPIDA timing strap. Use only 1500 Mhz. That Gigabyte 7970 finally gets 80 Sol/s using this, previously it was max 70 Sol/s

Put it inside your bios, I am too lazy to do any more Hex editing.

This has only 9 timings so make sure you include an extra dummy timing so the length of the file is the same.

Yes it did. Most likely due to luck of pool also. Pool found more blocks during the claymore run. Its not as concrete as that.

adaseb,

This is the existing modified ROM from a Sapphire Dual-X HD 7970 3G OC with boost GPU, Hynix AFR memory,

I have attempted to follow the Russian video and I get this far:

After finding all five of the 77 71 hex incidences I copy the strings between them, and immediately after the last one to give me:

Code:
3320000000008CC5583170550F10251F17050048C40022CC1C00640B14204A8900A000000120120D202532202614

332000000000ADCD693780550F1129229805004AE50022EE1C006C0D14205A8900A000000120140E242A38232A14

332000000000CE516A3B805510112BA31806004AE60022009D006C0E14206A8900A000000120150F272D3C242C15

332000000000CE516A3B805510112BA31806004AE60022009D006C0E14206A8900A000000120150F272D3C242C15

332000000000CE516A3B805510112BA31806004AE60022009D006C0E14206A8900A000000120150F272D3C242C15

I note that the last three strings are identical as this is a modded ROM already.  Which of these strings would you change, and why?

Please help,
Thanks

imo if it's already been modded then start with your backup up bios and copy it to bios 2, then copy a lower frequency strap to all of the higher frequencies.  See how it works, then try another one till you get one you like -- or try some of the straps on here

I have a bunch of old 7950's with elpida memory that I found a decent strap for, but oddly one of the sapphire Vaporx gpus had Hynix in it and I couldn't get it to work any better than the Elpida.  Also the same Bios won't work in all the sapphire 7950 versions,  but the same strap will work in each bios. It's really not as hard as it looks, just play around with it. ... those Ruskies explained it pretty well on that website

I may play around with it some more if more straps pop up -- with claymore 5.0 my 7950's elpida memory are running around 100+sols, which isn't too bad for an ancient gpu.  my RX 480's are only around 120+ sols

I've even been baking my old dead 7950's in the oven to bring them back to life  -- so far I baked 4 and 2 of them started hashing again -- have to bake about 10 more -- rofl

Try resetting your cards on stock. On optiminer I can reach 150sol/s on stock 280x.  Grin

I tried and hashing speed is the same as before, can you please check if the timings were saved? Sad
I would do it myself, but tried for 2h to understand the hex editing thing and got nothing.
