I really want to witness this so I have my Janus in my wallet. Let us see what it meant by #ETC . Is it that holders may get ETC aside from their regular NXT dividends? We will find out.

I think he's referring to when you click number of accounts field it will show over the months prior how many have been accumulating.

Make sure you have a registered slack account in #Janusproject before the new business launch if you haven't already. There is a limited number of ETC for each community in the kickoff site event.

I'd suggest everybody to have their Janus in your wallets some days before the 1st of each month ...because it also happened Janus team paid us in advance     :

i deposited nxt and am trying to exchange for janus

in the asset exchange it keeps saying
buy order submitted but janus quantity stays at 0 and my nxt quantity stays as is

Did you follow the steps?

NXT CLIENT

1- Download client: https://nxt.org/download
2- Install client and create account;
3- Check your NXT ID/address;
4-Buy NXT through https://shapeshift.io for example ( NXT is needed to pay fees transactions);
5- Go to Asset Exchange;
6- ADD the Janus ID [4348103880042995903], you can check all NXT assets here: https://mynxt.info/assets ;
Note : be sure it’s the correct token
7- Buy/Sell Janus.

Submit a new order after the download of the blockchain is completed. Maybe the order position was stuck.

That is still quite a few days worth of blocks, it won't show up until you get to at least today's blocks but getting closer now.

I'm not sure I understand your problem, you see your NXT balance in the Nxt Client but want to buy Janus?

The Nxt Client automatically connects to random nodes and works as a "light" client until you've downloaded the full blockchain. Then it switches to being a local node.
Sometimes, though, it can't find a node at first and you'll need to refresh. You've solved that one already and should now be able to buy from the Asset Exchange.

Enter Janus' unique asset ID in the searchbar: 4348103880042995903

Keep us posted do you have access to a device with Android OS by chance? I did some brief tests using the NXT Android wallet and it does have nearly full functions of the core wallet software you are using. You can unlock your account using the brain wallet password you got on your current software. Let us know, no man or woman left behind 😎
