Is BCC scam or not? Why is there a movement of some people accusing, saying that BCC is a scam? A classic ponzi scheme? Whether or not you scam, maybe it's too late to buy BCC. Undecided

Why you say it is scam?

Because Ponzi schemes or nowadays multi-level-marketing are by definition are a scam. They promise profits that sound too good to be true, because they are. The early adopter will get their promised profits, the customerbase will grow because people are spreading the information about their profits plus the paid shills. Problem is that the customerbase will reach a tipping point where there isn't enough money to pay out the interest and the system coincides. The question isn't IF Bitconnect will fall, the question is when. And look at this thread and HOW people are defending Bitconnect, you have literal threats over personal messages and paid shills who talk point by point like any paid shill of modern multi-level-marketing scams.
And if you need another proof.....look at this clown fiesta https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbR1SXIje1U

Very happy with BCC performance this year, I invest $ 600 in april and now grow up to more than 16k. but I still hope that bitconnect is immediately available in top exchanger like bittrex or binance so next year the price could reach $ 1000.

You realise that the money you have made is taken straight from the other chumps who have joined after you? All of you who are making money are ripping other people off in a classic 'ponzi'.

Give yourselves a big clap on the back and hope you get out before this game of musical chairs ends.

You are 100% correct! People that have invested in this scam, are knowingly or unknowingly stealing from the people that invest their money into this scam. A lot of people are going to lose A LOT of money once this crashes!

Bitconnect's debit card product DOES NOT EXIST. Do not deposit money into bccpay.co!!!

Bitconnect claim a partnership with Mastercard for their debit cards but this is confirmed to be untrue.

Check out this email from a Mastercard VP Brian Gendron.

BCC are taking deposits on 1st December. This is the exit time people.

Theres a reason Bitconnect ask you to deposit BTC before they send you the cards!! The cards don't exist.

You have been warned!!

Our brain loves tagging everything: "it's a scam", "ponzi", "legit" etc

These names are antipodes which simplify our lives by unloading our thought process.

Stereotyping decreases your chances to survive.

It's just like a discussion whether there's a life on nearby planets. Simple truth is we don't know.

And we don't know if BCC is scam. Guys, just be honest, we don't know what it is.

It's super important to establish your own opinion!

Otherwise you risk to become a victim of propaganda.

I understand the logic of its promoters. They earn referral bonus for this. I agree, it's not honest to give any guarantees or call it 100% legit, etc.
So you should take all those super optimistic reviews with a grain of salt.

But I don't understand all the haters:
For example, you think it's a scam. But why you're going to spam every forum and blog comment section with scam, ponzi warnings?
Sorry, but I don't believe in your altruism! This seems more like an attempt to justify your regrets that you did not invest. And profits of others drive you mad! Smiley

It's much smarter to say "I don't know what it is, but I believe that investing in BCC is risky".

Honestly? I could not give a damn if you make money on a project with a team trying something new in the blockchain eco-system. Fair play to you, you took the gamble and it worked out.

However by any measurement Bitconnect is a classic Ponzi scheme dressed up for the blockchain age. I'm not spamming the forum out of bitterness, i'm spamming so hopefully anyone invested who reads this might take heed and get their money out if they can (or at least not put anymore money in) before it implodes. And it will implode. Every Ponzi does.

They are not reinventing economics with a god like trading bot. They are simply replaying a scheme that has fooled people for the past 200 years, and it has worked for all that time because when it comes down to it we are fucking greedy . And really really stupid.

I can't believe how paranoid people are and that they could so easily find out it was a scam if it really was one lol. Didn't anyone see the conference when the guy talked about the partnership with Uquid for the card? Are you saying Uquid is a scam too and doesn't exist?? Saying that, Uquid seems to be a Visa card although it doesn't stipulate this on the website.

The value of bitcoin keeps increasing thats the difference compared to a ponzi. What was the price of bitcoin in may 2017? What is the price of bitcoin now?

Do the math and you will see they paid peanuts on the amount of money they have made. The price of BTC in mid may was ~2000$ USD

People chose to lend their BTC at those rates for returns and BCC made huge profits holding the bitcoin and watching its value increase by 4x so yes that is 400% profit!!!

It really is not rocket science.

Plus now they are listed on https://hitbtc.com

Even when they lost top 10 on coinmarketcap the coin lost no value.

Why? Because bitcoin keeps trending up, like i said not rocket science.

So if bitcoin fails then bitconnect fails if bitcoin succeeds then bitconnect succeeds.

NOT ROCKET SCIENCE PEOPLE!

But the fudders are gonna keep fudding, regardless.

This might explain it: https://bitconnectexplained.wordpress.com/2017/10/12/bitconnects-partnership-with-uquid-get-your-debit-card-now/

Quote
Update 10/26/2017: Official info first hand: Cards’ ordering is currently blocked. Uquid is finalizing the deal with the new cards’ issuer – mastercard. New cards will be available in 2-3 weeks time. Uquid will directly inform all users when the card is available. Next year the card will most likely be also available in the U.S.. They’re also checking, if there is a legal possibility for one person to order a couple of anonymous cards.

Hello bitcointalk forums. This is my first post here.
I'm not taking any sides in this discussion, but here to stir the pot.

I really want to believe it's a ponzi scheme but some very smart people I know don't think so. (They did at first, but decided to investigate more)
Furthermore they drank the kool-aid themselves and are making money hand over fist every day so it's throwing my judgment off.

I've heard of Bitconnect being compared to the way fractional reserve investment banks operate in modern society:

1) They lend and print out trillions of dollars when they have nowhere near the amount in reserved assets to back up their lending.
2) Even the largest banks can go insolvent if people decide they want their money suddenly.
3) Investment banks take investors capital and trade on exchanges using their own trading bots. This is no secret really.
4) Those banks make BILLIONS from trading bots while giving investors a small fraction of actual earnings.
5) There are actual bitcoin trading bots that earn 2-5% A DAY so the 1% average offered by bitconnect doesnt seem so far fetched to me.
- in this sense it seems bitconnect is offering a platform for people to earn returns in multiple ways:
- if youre not good at day-trading, you can lend liquidity to a bot which will in turn trade on your behalf. But if you're technical enough, you can run your own bot to potentially make even better returns.
- you can potentially earn more by holding coins, and this is part of the risk you take in lending out.

I was also linked to this video by someone trying to explain how bitconnect is legit. Please give me your feedback:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2HbinkSElM&t=8s

BUT
this discovery is remarkable.
Shouldn't Bitconnect investors be alarmed by this and ask to have this addressed immediately?

Seems very risky, yet somehow equally rewarding.

I've asked this question from MasterCard's Support. He answered me they (bccpay.co) may have be client of our clients. it means MasterCard is working with Independent financial institutions ( He wrote this for me ) and the independent financial institutions are working with Bitconnect. The Independent financial institutions can issue MasterCard for anyone.
