I will read up on it, the video was a pretty good explainer but will read more on the website.
I'm sure I'll have some questions otherwise it means you did too much of a good job at explaining everything which could be a possibility.  Cheesy

Thanks for the support and the video thumbnail, hopefully soon we'll be able to share better posts... with graphics!

Thanks for your answer!

Just to be clear regarding dividends:
If I buy some EQB during ICO and hold them I will receive dividends (from any company who launch Equibit)? Or do I have to hold "special" EQBs that are signed by companies?
Maybe you can also elaborate on how dividends are calculated (regarding token holders), because I could not find anything in your papers.

I'm very interested to join this great project! Many greetings from Austria, Christian

That's correct. You wouldnt receive dividends off the bat until that EQB is signed to a company.

And how do I get my blank EQBs signed by a company?

please elaborate on that, thanks!

Once a company signs/issues on EQB if they choose to pay dividends, they will know your dividends address and transfer value to you based on the issued EQB you own.

then I don't really understand what I can do with EQBs bought during ICO (as they would not be signed as I understood) except selling at exchanges.
or is there a possibility to turn my ICO EQBs into signed ones.
what would be the workflow of turning my blank EQBs into signed (and dividend paying) EQBs?
short feedback is very appreciated, thanks

hi - Like it.

Can we discuss the way Equibit pays out dividends ?

It says in the OP you can make a BTC denominated payment to Equibit shareholders.

How is this accomplished ? Who has access to the actual BTC ?

It can't be done by a majority vote of the Equibit stake holders - no ? Someone has to actually have the keys that access the BTC and will there need to be trust that he doesn't just run off with the money ?

Even if I own 95% of a certain company via Equibit, I have no access to the actual BTC coins ?

Or am i missing something ..

Life is Code.

100k coins per round, I guess it is too little, first round is only for $200k? Actually if I want to be all-in your project, I can afford the first round of $200k. IMO you can lower the price and offer more tokens, let more people can join the investment

It seems that you didn't read the ICO terms and conditions at all... ICO is for 1 million coins, 10 tiers of 100.000 each and price will be incrementing up to almost 14$ per coin.

So yeah, have to wake up early if I want to get it a good price.

EQBs bought during the ICO are used for transaction fees and to create issuances, regarding your question - yes you can turn your ICO EQBs into signed ones.
You'll be able to do this in the Equibit Web Portfolio where you can manage your EQB's and create issuances.

A company that issues their shares on EQB can decide to pay out dividends.
Because Equibit has cross chain functionality, BTC is able to be sent from the issuing company directly to the holder of those signed EQB's.
You would receive them via the Equbiit web potrfolio (wallet)

Interesting, tell us a little bit more about this web wallet, will it support 2FA? Not a fan of having my coins/tokens online, as it is a bitcoin fork, is there any chance to be supported by (for example) ledger nano s?

Also, are there any conversation with cripto exchanges (poloniex et al.)?

How are you going to market the product? I saw a little bit of press coverage here and there but I'd like to know what are your ideas regarding marketing.

One last question, have you guys ever heard of ICONOMI? (wink, wink)

I understand that we can participate in the ICO using BTC or USD. How will we be able to send/deposit USD?

Also, how would you compare to ICONOMI? Its not that similar but its a fund management platform!

  • Of the 22 million EQB, how many have been pre-mined?
  • How many are owned by the team, how many are going into the ICO?
  • At what rate will future EQB be created?

Why is price for Equibit so high and starts with $2? Normally the price is calculated by money collected during ICO to number of tokens issued?
Not all ico price based on how much fund has collected during ICO, many ICO giving a fix rate for their token.
What happen with unsold token?
Do you have allocation token, how much for development and for bounty?
There is bonus for early investor?

EQB token will be sold in stages / traunches of 100,000
10 traunches of 100,000 tokens going up in price per traunch
the first buyers get it cheaper basically.
we have not allocated any tokens for bounty.

Best,

Great question, yes the web wallet will support 2FA
We are talking to a few crypto exchanges at the moment.
We are currently talking to companies that are looking to issue as well as investors.
Regarding marketing, we are working with a number of marketing groups. Our focus so far has been on the crypto community, investor community, and chinese community. We are always open to new ideas.
We are aware of Iconomi but unlike their model of portfolio management, we are actually allowing companies to issue their own equity on a blockchain.

So some EQBs will be worth more than others depending which companies sign with EQBs?

Once EQBs are signed by a company, they are no longer regular EQB's that are traded openly.

  • Of the 22 million EQB, how many have been pre-mined?
  • How many are owned by the team, how many are going into the ICO?
  • At what rate will future EQB be created?

1M tokens will be premined.
All the remaining tokens will be going to ICO.
Future EQB will be created every 10 minutes according the block time with 50 EQB as the block reward, halving every 210,000

So some EQBs will be worth more than others depending which companies sign with EQBs?

Quote
Once EQBs are signed by a company, they are no longer regular EQB's that are traded openly.

So A and B are passive investors that have EQBs. A's EQBs get signed by a company, B's don't. This means A is entitled to dividends, whereas B simply has blank EQBs. Why did A's get signed instead of B? What can B do to get his signed? My concern is all onboarding companies will go directly to EQB staff for help and guidance through the process. EQB staff will have these companies sign Equitbit team EQBs while the rest of the investors simply waste away with blank EQBs.

  • Of the 22 million EQB, how many have been pre-mined?

Future EQB will be created every 10 minutes according the block time with 50 EQB as the block reward, halving every 210,000

Does the Equibit team have any EQB? This didn't really answer my question. There are 22 million total EQB. Is it correct that 1M are being pre-mined for the ICO? That appears correct with 10 tranches of 100,000. This means the remaining 21M will be created similar to the 2009 bitcoin reward schedule.

Please clarify.

For a company to sign EQB, they must hold all of them. The company distributes the sign EQB. It's not like a company can sign EQB held by anyone else.
It's like shares.
Blank EQB are just like blank pieces of paper. They are worth what the basic unit is worth. The blanks need to be purchased by a company before they can be signed. Then the company can sell or distribute the signed EQBs however they choose.
