Hi ahmedbodi I think that's a great idea. The difficulty is causing nobody to mine it. a) I think no merged mining, keeping it something like the original idea... Other people may have thoughts on that though b) Not sure c) and not sure what you mean by this one? Sorry probably not a great reply but I think it's great that you're going to keep up the work on it. Let me know of any changes and i'll update the website

It's an auto-exchanging, profit switching multipool (which also pays out in select currencies)

I do not understand what part of EXACT copy of bitcoin you do not understand? ANY change in the protocol is just another altcoin. If you want lower difficulties or different hashing algorithims then create your AhmedCoin and let bytecoin grow organically the way it is doing so far. I know you are mad because current difficulty is too high for your mining hardware but the protocol is on schedule to release the 21,000,000 coins in the 140 year timeframe. In other words, BTE bytecoin is fine, well, alive and growing. Just focus your good energy on something Pro Bytecoin like a better USD/BTE exchange or an open free market that only accepts BTE as payments or maybe a Pool or something. But understand, bytecoin is perfect as is, just as bitcoin is.
Maria.

The 1:1 feature is what makes BTE special.

I do kind of agree which is why I got on board too but would defo be good to get an active community around BTE. I like the idea of keeping it 1:1 but no one will mine due to diff. I think ahmedbodi is a great asset to the coin and I'll contribute anyway I can. It'd be awesome to get BTE working, not because I have a stash, I don't. But because it could be an awesome alt.

Thinking of adding a pool, what is the current difficulty, and is there a block explorer?

hey - was just about to add multicoin.co to the site but the site but the URL doesn't seem to work. There's not a typo or anything is there? The server ran out of disk space. Currently working with eth2 of SuchPool to migrate it to a new server. It will be up sometime this week

Great thanks - I'll keep an eye out for it and add it then.
Does anyone know of any more pools / resources I can update the website with?

The Bytecoin network looks alive and well to me. 12 connections, 6 people mining on the pool.
