Now that the Identity (99% sure) of JC - vcash lead dev is known what are his options and likely outcome?

It looks like someone was spot of with him being a bit torrent expert and he does seem to be a talented coder designer in some areas(even though someone says his zero designs won't scale) ... so what are his options here. Also it was a bit weird how he cashed out if it even was him that dumped it to 2000 sats.

I mean why release the news all the developments and targets were being cancelled and then dump after?

Has he  done anything criminally wrong that could have legal implications?

Sure there will be some people that feel wronged and have lost a ton of money but what legal avenues do they have to take action against him personally? could he face prosecution?

He surely invested a lot of time and funding into the project can this been seen as him just getting some payback for his time and effort?

Could he return and pick up the pieces here if he chooses? I mean now his ID is known it should inspire better behaviour perhaps?

What would you do in his position now?

Is he a scammer? or did he just have enough of working on this project and cashed out what he thought was his payment for his work? did he just have some kind of personal issues and this caused all of this crash without him really ending up with no net gain at all?

He did appear to have quite a bit more talent than the usual ltc cloners it seems a shame he will leave the scene entirely.

What happens next for JC? He seems to be panicking and closing down all of these social media accounts. If it is him that is.

I wonder if he returned at this point what the community would say. I think when you are anonymous you get to act a little different to if your identity is known. There is some added incentive to behave in an acceptable manner.

Are his designs and code easy to pick up and continue improving? I wonder if so why we don't have a lot of vcash forks after all of this time.

JC is apparently a reasonably talented P2P (Bittorrent) dev (as I had long since publicly speculated that he was) and perhaps could be a great team member on a coin if his attitude improved (didn't he do good work in the past in Bittorrent group development?), but he is not capable of creating any significant breakthroughs for our ecosystem by himself (as  evident by the half-ass shit Zerotime and anonymity he produced). You shills can go on and on about "break it if you can", but it doesn't change the fact that we are collection of experts and we know what the fuck we are talking about. And you don't! So STFU or go on babbling your ignorance, your choice.

JC mislead speculators. Period. And for that he is receiving some animosity.

If he wants to come back, be non-anonymous subject to public scrutiny and improve his ethics (and cut out the drugs!), then maybe the community will give him another chance. But he needs to build a team of devs. One man shows are impossible. This stuff is way too complex and too much work for a one man development team.

This main section should be made for these threads to keep us appraised. Out of reach of the controlled ANN environment. This man seems another singular brain box in his community, his work seems beyond everyone else on his team so when he tells them he wants a fortune and he may not keep his paid R and D for the sole good of the community that is meant to be funding him they go to pieces and need to start again from scratch and years are wasted with a bunch of investors time/money too.

These kind of people and their work should be discussed and peer reviewed here on the main alt section beyond their ann threads with self moderation and lock down abilities. Maybe we should have a developer section? any project worth looking into should have their dev/dev team verified and ongoing discussion detailing their work verifiable and completed and their proposed milestones met, obviously previous experience with evidence and support doc and peer reviews. Any other devs should be classed as high risk. Lets give incentive to be a good dev and produce useful work for investment given. Yeah you see some small background sometimes on the opening ann but look now at Vox it looks like another shady project and yet the owner of CNET was used to inspire confidence....looking deeper though ...perhaps he just likes to run up huge debts and waste other peoples cash...who is their actual developer? A developer section with ratings could be very useful.

Anyway back to Julian are you coming back to tell us the full story. At least one final post detailing everything leading up to this. Good to hear your side of it.

They can offer explanation but most are unable to verify it because it requires a certain type of mind + a lot of training.

Often highly trained people will say that this or that defies this theorem or that theorem. First, an adversary could make a 1 Satoshi input and DOS on the (3) step. You ban that address but adversary has billions more at neglible cost.

I suppose you could set a minimum input amount to avoid this. But still no problem for the adversary, he passes his BTC through a mixer can comes to hit you again and again.

I am sorry to bring you bad news Gregory but with a non-atomic operation you can always be DOS-attacked.  Zerocoin may be the solution?

Transaction fees and confirmation times should slow down the attacker.

As for slowing down, the adversary can have many parallel addresses in play so I don't think so.

Transaction fees might work if they are significant enough. I haven't studied how much the tx fees are in Bitcoin much. I think I read that certain txs can be 0 for some cases?

If the adversary is mixing through CoinJoin transactions (hehe, uses what he also DOS-attacks against itself), then the blockchain tx fee is going to be shared between all parties of the CoinJoin transaction, so could it be insignificant?

Edit: I've just realized the adversary can eliminate the transaction fees too, by spending those banned amounts as he normally would (e.g. day trading), thus he doesn't incur any extra cost.

Edit#2: unless all decentralized CoinJoins share their ban lists (which is quite impractical to achieve as it is the antithesis of decentralization), adversary can just round-robin through them.
