The simple answer to that question is Taxes. If they supported Bitcoin than there will be less transparency in what a business is really earning which means they can avoid taxes. The government is trying to avoid that situation because Income Tax is the main source of our national budget.

I am from Montenegro. Here, very small number of people heard about Bitcoins. We dont have forums, chats  where we can talk about this subject. Also we dont have ATM...
I hope that will change soon.

Most countries don't have their local forums who talk about bitcoin, except the local board in this forum... If this is a forum about bitcoin in your country, probably it's a secret or if not, it's not famous... But about chat, I don't think that there is none... For sure there is a local group in facebook situated in your area that is talking about it... Just keep on searchng, who knows...

ATM's are not present in most countries, but exchanges are still good and could still meet your needs when it comes to cashing out your bitcoin to fiat...  Smiley

The most absurd thing I've ever heard in crypto that you could end up in prison if using or mining bitcoin? with such rules and rulers people still living their normal daily lives? wonder why "leader of the free world" aka USA can only bully countries instead of trying to help other nations to have democracy.

When someone tells you that you are not allowed to be involved in crypto(bitcoin specially) then you seriously need to considering a revolt.
No matter what their excuses are, they have no rights to take away freedom of choice from their citizens.

Countries rules different from others, and not all of them adopt in others law. In fact we should be proud if we are living in countries where the form of government is not communism, fascism or socialism and others that neglects too much freedom from its citizens.

As I've said, law in each country differ, now, if a country considers your involvement in cryptocurrency to be a threat to the security of the country or to its citizens and the use of it could hint their citizens to revolt, that's already a crime against public order, then they have the right to stop you before the problem could escalate.  Smiley

I think in some countries bitcoin is prohibited because of the government. Because government know that they can't collect tax in online transaction like bitcoin. But in some countries the government take advantage for it and make it to grow the economy for that country

A definitive reason as if bitcoin legalized, of course, reduce the use of fiat money. Besides that, bitcoin move freely, so anyone including I and you can control the price of bitcoin, if this happens, of course make the country's economic mess. Other issues such as tax and money laundering would also serious.

Bitcoin is not supported in some countries because its not been controlled by the government. Like here in my country, bitcoin is not yet well known so not all people knows what is bitcoin and its use. Thus bitcoin is free to use by anyone and not all people knows it.

I think the main concern about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies is anonymity. Even there is some resemblance between many countries in the world, each country has their own rules and laws. Apart from rules and laws each country has different tax and banking system. And the anonymity block taxes.

Nope, ATM for cashing out our bitcoin for directly to the Fiat money. and exchange isn't.

There are different possibilties regarding to that problem, may be  their rules and laws don't allow to support bitcoin. But i don't think so that bitcoin is banned in some countries, there is a possibilty that they don't know about bitcoin and there are many countries where people have no idea about bitcoin. People earn money and meet their expenses so why anyone hate bitcoin or banned bitcoin as they know that they will  earn a good amount from that.
yes i can agree with you with second option, to in most cases people do not know about bitcoin therefore they are not supporting it. i do not think some countries may have banned bitcoin but the only reason can be that  they do not know about about.
It is true that not a lot of people know what Bitcoin is at the current time. But Bitcoin actually is banned in some countries because some governments just dislike it.

I think the main concern about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies is anonymity. Even there is some resemblance between many countries in the world, each country has their own rules and laws. Apart from rules and laws each country has different tax and banking system. And the anonymity block taxes.
Yeah that is definitely one of the reasons that some countries banned the use of Bitcoin. Because the can't track who is using it and what they are using for.

They can collect taxes in bitcoin actually but the main reason is fiat still exist if they support bitcoins what do you think will happen in our fiat? Big effect right? There is a possibility fiat will vanished because bitcoin are offering small fees for every transactions.

yes i also agree with you that in most of the countries people still do not know any thing about bitcoin . and that is that they are giving using and giving support to bitcoin. i think it is our responsibilities to introduce bitcoin in such areas.
Yea you right people still don't know about bitcoin but also there is tax problems with cryptocurrencies. The governments still don't know how to tax them. They can not exactly follow the peoples who use cryptocurrencies. I think this is the main problem.

I don't think so that government doesn't know how to tax them. There are some ways to tax them but yes the hardship of identifying those people who are legit working with bitcoin. But with the exchange sites that are registered for operation, they can easily tax them annually or it depends on how does the company declares their profit with crypto's.
I think another point to take into consideration is the cost of taxing bitcoin users, if the cost of taxing bitcoin users is too high then governments may decide to only go after big targets instead of going after every single person using bitcoin.

There are many reason why bitcoin is not supported in other countries. If you could see the government, they need taxes- taxes is a very important in the country to have an successful economy and because of that they'll banned bitcoin. Bitcoin is a crypto-currency or a paper money and they don't get a taxes into it and that is the reason why they banned it.

Yes,My concern going to same. There are a number of country where bitcoin got banned.Online-based artificial currency “Bitcoin” is illegal in Many countries.Central bank didn't permitted nobody to be affiliated with bitcoin in any purpose.Caught using the virtual currency could be jailed under the money laundering.

I think tax is not the important factor.

The main factor is the countries not yet ready to accept bitcoin, and the country still prioritizes the fiat money for the direct transaction. Until now, there are no countries that approved the use of the currencies from other countries directly, the official currency of other countries just could not accepted for transactions in the country, let alone the bitcoin which until now there hasn't been any countries that used it officially.

The fact that a government can't tax bitcoin holders, its no surprise that countries don't support it.  An article lately that Israel wants to tax bitcoin and so I assume they support btc. But we are about to see what is going to happen to them if later majority of them uses crypto. Its sort of an experiment I guess. I'd like to see more and more countries get into it too.

I have heard that bitcoin is not supported in some countries. But why ? Is it because bitcoin is risky ? Some countries even declare 6 months jail if her people use bitcoin. Is it fair ? I mined few cryptos and have left mining. It was fun and challenging too. But I never got any clear answer. What does my gpu actually do ? I pay electric bill, my room temperature goes high and I get paid. With actually no skill on pc hardware and software. Whole thing is still pretty unclear to me

Yes it is possible to ban bitcoin or use of bitcoin is illegal in some countries, however, the government cannot do anything about this because you cannot trace someone's transactions made on Blockchain.

Wrong, although we can still use bitcoin online but what's the sense of using it when it's ban by the government? If it's ban then there will be no license exchange sites that will be operating as government will not grant them a license, what might happen is we will die with out bitcoins.
