Nope, I have 0.045BTC because any time I have enough BTC to buy a PC game I like, I use it to get that, would be nice though.

you're a crazy man. if you'd bought those games when btc was in the doldrums they've now cost you a 4x rise. if you'd bought them with your local currency they'd be worth the same.

even if it's a little uncool to say it, bitcoin is the last thing anyone with other options should be spending for the foreseeable future unless you're replacing it immediately.

I wish I have, but at the moment I don't have 1 BTC.. yet. I only earn bitcoin through signature campaign and trading. So far, I could earn much from those but also I lose some in trading. Though it might take some time to earn until 1 BTC, but I will do my work patiently.

To this day, no, sadly I don't have 1BTC. I think this can be explained partially because I'm still rather new here and thus did not bought 1BTC yet. However in one year I think I'll have fullfiled that goal !

If you really want people to donate you, why don't you provide your bitcoin address? Well, of course no one will actually just give you 1 bitcoin for free, but maybe there will be some small tips for you for a start, who knows?

You donated 10 BTC!

Somebody bought a pizza with lots of bitcoin  Embarrassed, let's not count some similar events which if we remember now will make us feel bad. Anyway to stay in topic yes and I'm trying to hold it for a longer time, $1k is a good indicator to hold for a longer time.
It is so hard for people who are new to bitcoin to get one bitcoin, the ways to earn bitcoin have become not that rewarding like faucets, they were the best way to get bitcoin back in the day when the price was not high.

But, as the time went by they become just a way to spam ads, and for the people who had 1 btc it is hard to get hold of it because they need to spend it at some point.

There is another misconception that newcomers tend to believe - you got in early, therefore you must have bunch of coins.

Buying bellow $1 doesn't automatically make you a millionaire. I know many people who bought BTC in single-digits range and have zero or near zero BTC at the moment. And that is quite often the case. Search the forum and you'll find hundreds and hundreds of regrets for selling to early.

You would need to have iron stomach to be able to buy 10k BTC for $20 and still hold majority of it today : )

Perhaps, and I used to do trading on MtGox, where I had just over BTC2.25 when that went pair-shaped, hopefully at some point, I'll see some of that released back to me.

If you don't currently own 1 BTC, I say make that your goal for 2017.
Remember, most of the world still has no idea what Bitcoin is. Even paying the current price, a few years from now you may still be considered an "early adopter".
All we need is one big website like Amazon to start accepting payments in Bitcoin and a price of $900 will seem like a distant past.

I totally agree with you. Once it discovered by millions and also millennials, it will moons to at least 1 million dollars.

My prediction is at the end of the 2020 it will be more than $1 million.

Majority of the people don't understand how Bitcoin is scarce.

Let that go man, it will be easier that way. Its not money that could change your life and you are hurting yourself not letting that go.
Im telling from my own experience, i lost bitcoins on exchange, never looked back.

But I think this is the worst time to sell bitcoins because you might not be able to buy bitcoins at this price or cheaper price in coming time or even the whole next year. Anyways since it is your need then its fine and good luck mate.

Hope the price gets low for sometime in this year so that you guys can buy back them cheaper.

My answer is freaking No . Why? Cause I can't afford to buy one myself . Back in the days . I am buying a small amount of bitcoins only when I have a spare money but having a spare money these days is kind of difficult so my only source of bitcoin right now is signature campaign and freelancing sometimes .

Considering that you are a 2016 june member I can't blame you, it's getting considerably harder to own even 1 BTC only. I remember when I made my first entire BTC it felt great, not it feels like nothing, next stop is 21 BTC as most people dream about, due the nice appeal of being inside the 1 million club. 21 BTC maybe too much for most people, but 1 BTC is still achievable with hard work and dedication. Anyone that really wants it can make 1 BTC and still be a pioneer in the next decade, where people will kill to own 1.
