Have you thought about investing in a token-ICO. This is much better than the usual coins that come and go to the market. ICO is trusted and invested heavily because of its marketing strategies and product development. The team consists of highly qualified people and they know what they are making of them. Its bigger and better than other coins.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Being around and being traded, or mostly pumping and pouring is not really living up to my opinion, but if that's the definition you have in mind then there are plenty of altcoins that can survive.

Altcions based on really interesting and great projects will definately survive and raise through time. Alts which based on hype, and havent any real team/project behind it will disappear.

I think that in the future, a lot of persistent altcoins will survive. For example Ethereum, NEO .

Based on what it has been seen among the wide array of altcoins such as development, innovation, and security issues, what altcoins might survive in the future?

In my opinion, I think that the only ones prone to survive would be good old altcoins such as Litecoin and Dogecoin, but I may be wrong.

Nevertheless, I would like to know your opinion about this as well as any altcoin that might be worth holding onto for the long term.  Grin

Of course Altcoin with large marketcaps will survive, because maybe technology is only the beginning of the formation of a consensus on all crypto.
And maybe it can be easily said that the top10 altcoin will remain in the future. Maybe the order can change, but I don't think anyone will really fall.

We know how the Ethereum platform has affected the crypto world today, and may still be dominant in the future. Maybe it won't be alone, because somehow crypto will influence each other. But I think Altcoin with powerful platforms like Ethereum, Neo, or Waves will survive even when the next generation crypto has been created.

Dogecoin, ETH and Monero will survive, the question is Litecoin. Dogecoin is very popular among Dice sites, plus Doge have fast transaction time - you can send/receive in minutes. ETH is just big player, sale/buy quick profit via many users, in fact it is now very popular altcoin. Monero have great privacy option, many altcoins users like this. Litecoin is popular among just devoted users, therefore Litecoin future is not clear, it can survive if there will be new Litecoin users.

We all have different perspective on to it. But one thing is for sure, with the technology of today, crypto currency will survive at the same time is the coins. Coins is the reason why there is cryptocurrency. Without coins cryptocurrency ia nothing. There must be someone who plays in order to have the game. And that is the role of alts.

Now it is better for any investor to delay with the purchase of altcoins, since the first decade of August can underestimate the altcoin market so much that it will suddenly reach zero. Many understand this. The decline in activity in telegram channels and the volume of trading on exchanges is a confirmation. we need to wait

If you talk about Altcoin, of course those who have the best technology that will grow, or at least continue to innovate. And I think Ripple is one that will survive in the future. It is possible at this time, Ripple has not represented the spirit of decentralization, but I think the developer is trying hard to make it happen. So with a business concept that has the potential to be used by many people, I think Ripple is one of the Altcoins that will survive in the future.

Looking into markets on several exchanges and current demand for some alts, think that prime is ETH, then many of the following are into list, from ripple to NEO stellar maybe....... list is long but this is for you to decide. If you think or see opportunity embrace it for profit.

May be ever altcoins will be on the rundown until the end of time. They will be pumped when they should make some benefit. For instance, there is X coin which us remaining at zero, at that point gathering of individuals will choose to get it at zero, when everyone will begin putting cash, the market esteem will rise and the coin end up dynamic once more. After this individuals will offer it out, snatch the benefit and your X is dead once more. Lol. May be they will continue doing this eternity.

most likely in the future will survive the altcoins of the top 10 with a large capitalization. but whether they will continue to be promising and give more profit is questionable.

There are many scam altcoins in the cryptocurrency market. These scam altcoins will die within a year. They are altcoins with solid platforma that will continue to live. Ethereum will continue to survive thanks to its powerful platform and intelligent contract technology...

Solid coins include allot of the long standing coins built on solid infrastructure and solving pain points. I'm talking about coins like Neo, Ethos (Big competition for Coinbase), UTRUST (The PayPal of cryptocurrency), Power Ledger, Substratum, Basic attention Token, just to name a few.

I agree with you about Litecoin as it seems to be a really nice alternative way of payment for various goods and services (I've got a couple of examples of buying stuff using LTC).
Another perspective alt could be NEO if it manages to beat Ethereum as an ICO platform.
Anyway, I believe in NEO and constantly monitor it.

As far as i am concerned, if any altcoin has not been able to survive through 2 years at a stretch, then there is no tendency it will later be able to survive. Presently there are so many dead coins
