COINS can only survive if they have a vibrant community. Etheruem litecoin might be able to survive, because community emotionally attached to it, and the developer is very effective. Altcoin has stayed like COINS, but some will undoubtedly based on plenty of reasons to withstand the test of time and level of development.

Of course, I have confidence that Altcoin will exist and develop after going to stand the test of time based on good reasons and the level of development. The Altcoins which get acceptant from investors are really promising.

I think the Altcoin that could survive would be those that has true userbase and good development team. In order to list those altcoin that could serves as a true decentralized system, it have to use many type of revaluative tools.

Based on what it has been seen among the wide array of altcoins such as development, innovation, and security issues, what altcoins might survive in the future?

In my opinion, I think that the only ones prone to survive would be good old altcoins such as Litecoin and Dogecoin, but I may be wrong.

Nevertheless, I would like to know your opinion about this as well as any altcoin that might be worth holding onto for the long term.  Grin
I think only stable coins will survive in the future. Stablecoins are the basis of financial instruments for hedging and derivatives that will be necessary for this wild-west industry to cross the chasm to safe and more easily used financial products. Maker DAO, VariabL, and Basecoin are attempting this from the startup eco-system, but I think this is a great space for an enterprise banking incumbent to provide value, liquidity, and validity to the digital asset ecosystem.

I think there will have many Altcoins can survive in this crypto market like ETH. Because investors would love to invest in ICO projects as it brings a lot of profit and the foundation of ETH can create so many different token. And I hope that in the future, other Altcoins could be another ETH.

Yes it worth to keep long time. But it depends.i am saying my personal experience that i keep sia then i did not see prices for longer time because i thought that automatically investment increase. That not happended. All getting up side down. At last what i get lower than the investment.

Alt coins are longer time. But be alert at all the time. Research daily  abount 1 hr.

But be prepared to sell any time. Some saying that close your eyes and come back after 2 years , thats a bullshit statment

The survival rule of the world is the survival of the fittest. Only useful projects and their own role can survive, otherwise they will all be eliminated. Therefore, it is inevitable that many projects fail. Don't worry, because the failed project feeds the successful project.

ICON will be next etherium. already known as etherium of korea. if you missed NEO or etherium then you should not miss this. total supply is higher though. its around 800 million. but now its so cheap. lot of icos will be on ICON blockchain soon. then its price will be go up to $1000+ in 2019 or 2020. so i think ICON can survive in the future. blockchains are my top picks. because of icos its prices will easily go up.

I think the surviving altcoin for the future is Bitcoin and Ethereum because these two coins have the potential to grow and can invest in the future, and with so many people holding these coins for future luck,

These variables are explained in depth and mapped to the four prongs of the Howey test in order to create a framework for determining when a cryptocurrency resembles a security and might therefore be regulated as such. We find that larger, more decentralized cryptocurrencies— e.g. Bitcoin— pegged cryptocurrencies—i .e. sidechains—as well as distributed computing platforms— e.g. Ethereum—do not easily fit the definition of a security and also do not present the sort of consumer risk best addressed through securities regulation.

If a altcoin cannot provide goods such as active development and innovation, it is doomed to fail. People will always be looking for alternatives to meet their requirements, such as speed, ease of use and most of the time, privacy, so they will be eliminated without meeting the requirements.

In my opinion, the survival of altcoins depend on some things. For example, if the coin have a solid development team and have a proper development, it would have a bright future in this market.

Ethereum is a good pick when it comes to altcoins that will survive in the future. Actually ethereum is the best pick for altcoins that will survive in the future. It has a good project and the developers are always working to make the project better. Let's not forget that they have loyal investors on top of it all. There are other coins that might do well but ethereum is the best altcoin.

What I have noticed is it sure is tough for an altcoin to die.. A ERC20 token sure, but blockchains are like cockroaches.  Cheesy

In my opinion, only coins which will have real active or strong influence on the world will have a future in long-term.
On the other hand, now everyone has the opportunity to make successful project.

There are so many altcoins that will definitely survive in the future  I guess we can easily conclude that the top 50 altcoins right now will not find it hard to survive in this tight competition happening around.

Yes, I think altcoins will be aroused people's great interest, and competition for real money with the bank, and there is a lot of COINS, almost all altcoin growth at high price, and will be a great expense.

The altcoins that will survive in the future are the ones that are used in several and specific ways. It could also be one of the big ones in the future since the functionality of this coin and the campaign as well is really different than the others.
