I do not understand why people need immortality, this will be unbearably boring. Life is created in order to learn to enjoy things in a short period of time and appreciate what is.

Immortality. A very vast and unconventional subject to be discussed. This subject is close to the discussion about time travelling. Individuals or a group of individuals who believe in immortality claims to share factual knowledge about it but none of it has been proven yet, maybe not globally. Imagine the immerse effect on each and every move all of us are going to make if immortality is true. All of these, whether we prove immortality right or wrong, goes down to one question. For whatever reason, it is better for us humans to not get a hold of this power.

there is no eternity in the world, the riches and lives of man will not be eternal. everything can turn bad and get better.

Immortality exists in some form right now as, down to Sir Isaac Newtons laws of physics, energy never dies, it is simply transferred. By that logic we are all imortal we just have no knowledge of what happens when our conscious energy transfers from our bodies to whatever else.

I do get that you wasn't talking about what I was though. In the term of retaining memories etc. There is no reason it wouldnt be possible. it would be a matter of figuring out, if you will, the coding structure/language which the human brain uses internally and then making a system which can be incorporate it. Obviously this is the hard part though I do not think it is impossible.

We have bionic limbs which interact with nerves on a base level so maybe in the distant future we will have heads in jars while Bender and Fry run around the universe.

A lot of pharmaceutical companies work now on issues of prolonging life expectancy and preventing aging. I'm sure some technologies already exist but they are inaccessible to ordinary mortals  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Personally I think immortality will be really nice. Being able to witness what will happen in the future or seeing and experiencing how far humans and technologies can advance. Just thinking about it makes me very excited. Grin

Even if it would be possible, I actually don't wanna live forever. 200 years - fine, but no longer. Plus, if no one would die and everyone will have children, this great amount of people is not very good for our planet.

I heard of a Russian guy who is working on a project to make people immortal.

It's called 2045:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2045_Initiative

Wow that sounds interesting!
In that situation they will make people like a super human?

I believe if people trust god theirs no immortality.
Can people ask their selves who create us?  Why we look like this and etc.
To many questions to ask about.
But immortality? It sounds .........

immortality is impossible for us to experience. If only it had happened, then the technology could not advance as it is today. and it all feels very troublesome. I am grateful that eternity does not happen, I am more pleased with what God gives to his people.

I think longer lives would be fantastic , but seeing everyone you love die become painful , you would end up alone .
i do agree, dont need to be immortal because end up alone is more painful than immortal life.

I think it  is impossible. And I think death is not something to afraid of...We must prepare ourselves for the end...

I hope that immortality in the next few years will become a normal part of life. Everyone should have the right to decide how and when to die.

All will die, no one will live forever. Death in my example is not the last moment of life, which certainly awaits us ahead, but nothingness.
