human nature is born and also dies, but if it's like the transfer of memory or brain memory if technology is very supportive it could happen

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

I don't think immortality is possible even with the highest possible technology that we can create. Unless we mixed our body with robot features, that's when immortality is possible. And the intelligence of human can be transferred to computer. That's why AI now are being studied and improved by developers.

Interesting you mentioned about the transference of human intelligence to a computer. For most people, it sounds like a plot for a scifi book or film, but in reality, it’s based on actual research. If you’ll look up the Virternity Project, you’ll discover how likely humans can have their consciousness digitized and uploaded into a virtual realm to achieve this coveted immortality. Have you heard or read about it?

I agree. We are born and are predisposed to death because of our bodies. So perhaps, the key to immortality is freeing consciousness from the body. You mentioned the transfer of memory. Did you know there are actual studies behind that theory? I heard about this Virternity Project which explores the possibility of the human mind to thrive in a virtual realm. There's even a book about it by David Evans Bailey (PhD researcher in virtual reality). Have you heard about the project? What do you think about brain memory preservation and uploading it into a virtual space?

What do you think about immortality? Will people find immortality in the future?
Is it possible to transfer a digital copy of the brain to a computer environment?

This question can be answered in two ways. If we think according to body immortality, using artificial intelligence human could live forever, but if we think according to brain immortality it's impossible, because normal human brain has own lifecycle and it can't live forever.

The physical aspect of the brain may die or decompose, but what about memory and consciousness? Do you know that there are studies now about brain preservation and mind uploading? I heard that in the future, one’s personality or consciousness can be integrated into a computer simulation and thus, achieving life extension. Look up the VR technologist and PhD researcher David Evans Bailey and you’ll learn more about it.
What do you think about this possibility though?

Eternity ... imagining this word like looking at an endless railroad track, imagining an endless journey, or imagining something that doesn't know when it's finished. Imagining eternal life is terrible. It's like imagining an endless pain.

I believe one can achieve immortality after death. That is this physical body dies and our immortal bodies that's the soul takes over forvever thus immortality is achieved.

I believe it is possible especially right now. Cloning and an AI God politician might be the norm.

Why have to wait for death though? What if the means to achieve immortality (perhaps through digital immortality) can be available within your lifetime, wouldn’t you grab that chance? I think with how technology is progressing (ex. Blockchain, AI, virtual and augmented realities), they could all provide a means for life extension. What do you think?

For me immortality is not possible to happen in a person in a real life. Immortality is just an imagination of humans and only exist in movies and anime . The cycle of life of a human being is when they were born they are definitely to die in the future. The transfer of the brain into digital is not also possible in my opinion and it will never be happen.

But maybe we should at least keep an open mind about it. Most of the technology today we couldn't have predicted would exist, right? Who knows what advancements we can have in the future. There is scientific basis for a brain interface. The concept is explored in a book called Virternity, and is supported with a lengthy bibliography of different articles and studies.

I think it is possible to transfer the digital copy of our brain because of the advancement and the continous growth of our learning about computers.

About immortality at all not think. For one simple reason! No one needs it, because immortality will not add positive qualities to a person, will not give more Love, in the end, you just get tired of life. You will suffer because we are all destined to die, that is our life. Thank God that immortality does not exist in life, because it does not make sense!!! Life without immortality is more interesting because it is dangerous and contains the meaning of our stay on earth.  Smiley
