Well, i can't say immortality is impossible. Who knows what humanity can do in the future?
Also, I did some research. You might want to take a look at the "mind uploading theory".
I see immortality will change the world in a worse direction

Yeah, I think people will find out a way to become an immortal. If they can find a way for our bodies not to get old it would be great. However, population of our planet is going to be overpopulated. Therefore, there might appear policies with only one child in the family.

If we talk about "eternal", then what comes to mind is something eternal. Now we ponder again, whether in this life there is something immortal? Is there something eternal in this world? The only word that can answer is "No". Yes, of course. In this world nothing is immortality. In this world nothing is eternal. The nature of eternity or eternal belongs only to the Creator. Everything in this world will gradually perish. Slowly but surely. It can be fast, and it's real.

Immortality as an existence without time. that time exists only in the created universe, that God is out of time; for God there is no past or future, but only an eternal present.

Those who have faith in religion would think immortality is impossible.  Of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

we are all immortals, our souls are immortal but our flesh. The question is, where are you going to spend your eternal life? It's so happy to think about it, that we are all immortals and there is a life after the carnal death Cheesy

in the next billion years, Earth will be here provided there hasn't been some planet-level catastrophe like a collision with a rogue planet or a black hole drifts by, or a gamma ray burst just fries everyone and everything on the surface.

But, what if humans or our descendants are still alive in 500,000 years? In that amount of time, I think someone discovers worm-hole travel or some way to move between universes. At the minimum uploading your consciousness to a computer to live out your existence in a virtual world full of artificial life running on super-slow time dilation so that the simulation will seemingly run forever.

my opinion is nothing eternal in this world that is eternal only God, and it will not be possible for someone to find eternity in the future because immortality belongs only to God,and in my opinion any technology will not be able to transfer all that in the future ...

I think that eternity exists only in the world of film and if there is an eternity in this world would be very lucky for people who have the good fortune

Do I think it exists? Not on this planet, as we tend to visualize it in movies, etc, but in general, I believe anything humans can think of, is either based in a inner knowing of some fact, or based on a very probable future fact.

Actually it is said that soul is immortal, and it just changes its form from one living being to other.
