You're right, the Micron straps are identical

Why are you saying it is Micron?
VRAMInfo in bios you uploaded only contains data for EDW4032BABG(Elpida) and H5GC4H24AJR(Hynix).

EDIT: Okay, technicaly in 2013 there was acquisition of Elpida by Micron (so now EDW4032BABG is Micron) but given timing table is for Hynix anyway.

Then you should probably edit timings for type 1 (EDW4032BABG) not type 2(H5GC4H24AJR).

I have been trying to get my rx480 asus dual stable above 2000Mhz memory and 1150Mhz on the core, the strap i am using is this one 777000000000000022CC1C00106A5D4DD0571016B90D060C0060070014051420FA8900A00300000 01011333DC0303A17

Its samsung memory on the card but everytime i get it above 2000 it is crashing. Does anyone have any tips for this?
Just crashed at 1950Mhz too.

This timing is for 8GB GPU, I assume yours is 4GB.
MC_ARB_DRAM_TIMING1/2 are wrong and probably that's what's causing crashing as well as no heatsink on ram modules.

Strange...if its 8gb version default clock should be 2000Mhz...original 1750/2000 straps, please?

dumb question to everyone running custom timings on 6-GPU rigs,

how are you making it easy to manage (for example, when you have to boot up multiple rigs)

are you mixing rx480's with hynix and elpida RAM in the same box, and using some tool (claymore commandline arguments, MSI Afterburner auto-overclock on boot) to get each card at the desired RAM frequency?

or are you keeping all elipda / hynix / micron cards together in separate boxes?

or can you hard-code the "GPU State 7" / "RAM State 1" frequencies in Polaris Editor, so each card takes care of itself?

or are you booting up each box, then manually tweaking the GPU/RAM frequencies and voltage with your desired tool (wattman, trixx, msi afterburner) and then just not touching it for months until it has to reboot again ?

I see that uses "aticonfig" , I thought that stopped working with the latest drivers?

I tried going the linux route about 2-3 weeks ago and the only thing I found to change clock speed was "radeonjet" , and it maxed out at 2100 Mhz

I'm sticking to windows for now but thank you for sharing your script Smiley

BIOS editing would be the easiest way once you have all of your clocks/volts dialed in.

I guess your memory timing menu contains 2 values, please check. Default clock of your GPU IF it is actually samsung has to be 2000Mhz.

Default clock is 1305/2000

I cant find any other 2000 strap timings in the hex, just that one.

This is the hex

40 0D 03 00 77 70 00 00 00 00 00 00 22 CC 1C 00 31 F6 7E 57 F0 57 11 18 3F CF B6 0D 00 6C 07 01 24 08 14 20 FA 89 00 A0 03 00 00 00 1E 12 3A 46 DB 35 40 19

1750 would be

Here's an odd one,

on my rx470 at 1250 core:

when running at 1995 MHz RAM, I get 830+ H/s
when running at 2000 Mhz RAM, it drops sharply to 640 H/s

but I'm running the same memory strap in both!

1750:
777000000000000022339D00CE515A3D9055111230CB440900400600740114206A8900A00200312 0100F292F94273116

2000:
777000000000000022339D00CE515A3D9055111230CB440900400600740114206A8900A00200312 0100F292F94273116

Edit: Well I'm thoroughly confused now,

I took the above bios and used Polaris Bios Editor to change the default RAM speed to 1995 so I don't have to manually set clocks when it boots.
At 1995 MHz it now gets 640 H/s, but when bumping it up to 2000 it gets 831 H/s (backwards of my results above)

Using WattTool o set individual mem clocks for my different gpus (some hynix, elpida, samsung mixed). You can make a .bat file to launch your miner and wattTool and to have wattTool load the profiles

Puzzled with this Rx480 Asus Dual 8Gb, same memory straps that came with my reference ones, did the same mod to the straps ( 1750 to 2000 ) and it keeps crashing.

Anyone think it could be a duff card?
