Is there is the way timings from 4Gb memory modify to use with 8Gb memory same type?

Why timing that good for xmr kind like 1000 h/s only can get 30Mh/s for eth? What timing that can balance both of them in case we wanna change coin? What coin favor loose timing and what coin favor tight?

Well, its different algos, it uses similiar timings, but not the same. You need tight and proper timings for XMR, not all over the place for the secondary.

Also, is that 1000h/s just an example?

hello guys,
i have this version of gpu
http://xfxforce.com/en-us/products/amd-radeon-rx-500-series/rx-570-rs-4gb-dd-blackedition-rx-570p4dbd6

it use 4gb memory EDW4032BAB and H5GC4H24AJ. In my case it uses elpida and not hynix. i used custom timings from this threat and pasted it into 1750/2000:

777000000000000022AA1C00315A5436A0550F15B68C1506004082007C041420CA8980A9020004C 01712262B612B3715

this is my custom bios settings:

this is my gpu Z

and hwinfo

my results in dual mining eth+lbs is 28,5 + 82 and my questions are:

- how much further i can go? using 2050 or 2025 mem is getting me mem errors in hw info...so is this maximum fort this memory?
- i can see in gpouz that VDDC power draw+VDDCI power draw is giving together  gpu power draw  value. how can this be changed? did i well to use stages in bios as above? does it have impact on these two values?
- what about only VDDC number? is 0.9313V good for 1200/2000? is possible to have less? my ASIC quality is 77%
- VRM Efficiency 99% is ok? or too high or almost perfect? im trying to udnerstand what i should achieve as best result as my gigabyte rx 580 XTR aourus 8GB is having 79% efficiency but ASIC quality is 83%

thank you

That looks like totally crazy strap, but then again I didn't see too many for elpida...still, either crazy or you did bad copy/paste

Dont know if something wrong here. before i use windows 7 and with that windows i can not use blockchain driver. At windows 7 with that timing i got around 890 h/s 70watt on GPUZ using claymore 10.2.
Since i really want to use blockchain driver, i change my windows to windows 10 but still got same h/s using claymore. And after that i check another miner software, and i got that result using zawawa gatelessgate with less watt.
I got the straps from ElioPV and then fixed by laik2, and after more refining with guide from laik2, i got the last straps that used here.

Okay, two things:

1. Do NOT use the Blockchain driver for XMR.

2. Use the following config : -ri 512 (or 504), -w 4, -g 2.
Report again whats your hashrate. You are using a lot lower than what is supposed to be.

Also, this gotta be some real crazy strap to run like that, or something is not right. I am doing 900h/s at 1305mhz Core/2000Mem and 867h/s at 1225core/2000mem, and its not the best one, but 1kh/s is insane. Also, is that strap shareable?

896 w8 g2 is the best you can get for 470/480/570/580

and yes, he has some nice straps.
and yes, you can use blockchain drivers for xmr, i get 925mhs on 1130/2000 with sapphire nitro+ 570 4gb

For that config i got 850 and 890 for both card, still using blockchain driver (cant try another driver now).
My card is Power Color Red Dragon 4GB Hynix, you can see the details few pages before (including the master straps).
Straps that I use is loose version from the master straps.

Either you are running it differently, either something is wrong.

896 w8 g2 makes the cards barely hashing, like 50h/s or 400h/s.

896 w8 makes them to hash with 100h/s less than normal.

Anyway, for some reason, the blockchain driver on my 470 and 480 give ~20h/s LESS and it increases the power consumption.

Go figure.

What GPU that you use? And can you try sgminer or gatelessgate?
After I check it for few days at pool, the hashrate really increase.

Really need to look in to updating my straps on the Asus dual 480s I have, or putting some better thermal paste on. They love to crash above 60C for some reason

Using on both ri 512, w4 g2 and getting 470 = 867h/s, 480 = 900h/s.

well what can i tell you, it's ok cause it reports the total hash at the pool side OK.
Maybe cause it's a 570, not 470.. ?

Maybe it because driver. Blockchain better if you use for mining only. I stuck with it for now till i can get best driver that can be use for games.
My problem now is it only good for XMR, for eth just so so.

The blockchain driver is useless for me for XMR, tried it like 3 different times with DDU, each time i was getting less hash for more power draw.

Also, @doktor83, i will fiddle with this today again, i will install a 580 as well.

BTW, my cards are using Hynix (the 470 and 480), which are running the public strap from this thread, but modified a bit more.

I use Hynix too, and below hints from laik2
=
Your timing is too tight and if your dram isn't cool it will overheat fast.
Rase RAS_tRC and RAS_tRCDR/A by a bit, lower with cycle RAS_TRCDW/A.
Try increasing TRP and TRFC and most important TRP_RDA in misc timing. If you want to clock a bit more set CAS_tCL to 19 cycles.
=
And after that I try to loose it bit by bit until i get stable straps.
I only mine xmr too for now, and using blockchain get the best of it.

anyone ever played with the https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/185234/sapphire-rx470-4096-160715 ?

RX 470 nitro + 4g Hynyx ?

Hynix H5GC4H24AJR

1500 to upper gives 27.950 m/h

but was wondering if anyone has a strap done on those ?

Blockchain drivers are effective for XMR ?  with  MSI RX570 4GB Hynix memory ?

Code:
--rawintensity 896 -w 8 -g 2 --text-only

with that command line i got 3600 - 3700 H/s (x6 cards, 600 per card)

Code:
--rawintensity 1008 -w 8 --text-only

whit this  i am getting  4300 - 4000 H/s  (x6 cards , 725 - 730 per card)

Console result with SMOS & SGminer 5.5.5

Code:
(5s):4.911K (avg):4.364Kh/s | A:5800023 R:150001 HW:0 WU:2827.179/m

Anyway to get 800/900 H/s per GPU ?  thanks

P.D. Whole RIG comsuption its about 640w ,  i do not use Blockchain driver ,  do you know why  Hashrate in the pool is oscilating ? sometimes it marks 2KH/s  others times 4KH/s

Okay, i havent seen any Elpida straps for XMR here actually.

Got a 580 4GB Gaming X with Elpida. Did some mixed Samsung/Hynix/Elpida, getting at 1355c/2000m 948h/s.

But, for some reason, even after relaxing the timings, going to 2100Mhz BSODs me instantly with Thread_STUCK.

Thats with TRC=64 and TCL=22.

Is there difference in the timings for the 5xx series, specifically for the

TCRCRL, TFAW/32, ACTRD/WR, RASMACT, RP, WRPLUSRP and BUS_TURN?

Those are the only values, that i didnt bother raising any further from the Samsung/Hynix ones.

Oh, and also, TCKE = 10, which is less than the RX 470 and 480.

Everything else looks completely normal to me.

That means 900 -948 h/s is not possible or stable  with  RX570 Hynix  ?   Huh Huh
