For many people with depression, symptoms are severe enough to cause noticeable problems in daily activities, such as work, school, social activities, or relationships. Other people, however, might not recognize that they’re depressed. They might not understand the symptoms of depression and think that their feelings are just something they have to endure.

Depression is illnes and it should bu cure. My cousin killed himself when he was 18. It was long time ago and I don't know details, but I rememeber that he had depression but his parents didn't take the time to provide him with proper treatment. It was big tragedy for all of my family, his parents changed by 180 degrees...
Depression affects everyone, not only the sick, so you need to find a specialist who will help you

As long as you live and work actively, listen to music and practice the gym, I am sure you will not be depressed.

You can help your partner by setting and acknowledging small goals and daily achievements. Breaking down larger tasks (i.e. applying to new jobs) into smaller tasks (i.e. update resume, write cover letter, research available openings) can help your partner take small steps toward returning to normal daily activities. For people who struggle to get out of bed each day, focus on getting up, taking a shower, and eating a healthy meal. Your partner is likely to improve with treatment, but you will need to practice patience and understanding when working through a depressive episode.

Depression is one of the mood disorders that kills a lot of people especially women. People normally commit suicide as a result of depression. Anytime i meet people with depression, i advice them not to stay alone. I always make sure i am with my friends who are suffering from depression. I try to engage the in a lot of psychological and mental exercise too.

Mental health medication, including antidepressants, are effective in reducing symptoms of depression. They often work well as a supplement to therapy or short-term solution for symptoms that might initially be severe. Nonetheless, even their short-term effects can take two weeks or more to activate. If you are considering mental health medication, consult a psychiatrist, not only a primary care doctor.

I live by myself and often I felt empty even though I am surrounded by good friends and family most of the time. Recently I started to live with a baby cat and she really helps me feel content and relaxed. And the fact that she totally relies on me makes me stay strong and rational. Suggest you trying out living with a pet. It will often make you smile. Cheer up! and wish you the best luck, my friend!

First go to psychiatrist for you to know if you are under depression or not. If you have they will give you medicine for anti-depression.

The most helpful think for me personally is sport! a lot of sport every day, a lot of activity! if you are angry - run! if you are happy - run! if you have  f**king depression get up take your ass and run! run as much you can ! every single day. do it and we will talk in 2 weeks - i promise you will forget about your depression.  the main point - you have to do it every time than. But running is some kind of addiction. once you will start you will never be the same

Mindfulness-based therapy, self-practiced mindfulness, and meditation can reduce symptoms of depression and be effective coping tools. By living in the moment and getting in touch with your external surroundings, you can temporarily detach from the internal strife of your depression. You can also do this as part of yoga, another technique therapists frequently recommend.
