A lot of pessimism around this new coin but I thought it was definitely worth a punt so I've invested 1 BTC. With the 1k bonus tezzies it works out I have 6,000 of them and they cost me £0.32 each. So, let's look at some fun calcs:
IF THEY REACH £2.00:: Then I'll have a total of 6,000 x £2.00 = £12,000 (not bad)
IF THEY REACH £25.00:: Then I'll have a total of 6,000 x £25.00 = £150,000 (awesome - and not really that unbelievable when you look at other cryptos and the prices they've achieved in infancy)
IF THEY REACH £166.67:: Then I'll have a total of 6,000 x £166.67 = £1m (again not that unbelievable when you look at the ETH which is higher than this)
IF THEY REACH £217.99:: Then I'll have a total of 6,000 x £217.99 = £1.3m (that's based on the current ETH rate - could happen!)
IF THEY REACH £1,925.95:: Then I'll have a total of 6,000 x £217.99 = £11,555,700 (that's based on the current BTC rate - you never know with crypto!)
So is it worth a punt? Of course it is!
Totally agree with you, from every aspect it's worth buying at least 6000 Tezos. I think this is pretty in line with what everyone is hoping. That it at least gets close to the value of ETH. I remember the crowdsale of ETH, and you got 2000 ETH per BTC then. I had a decent amount posted into the send address and then I got sidetracked and gunshy. It's hard to look at it in hindsight though because I still bought ETH at like $5-$6 on coinbase, but sold at like $25, which was huge profit (nowhere near where it would be now). I think you have to be in this for the long haul do u calculate the total supply you genius exactly, uncapped ico?? you think in this world the money supply is unlimited? lmao. The above computations are good, except... missing a few scenarios: - IF THEY REACH £1.00:: ? - IF THEY REACH £0.20:: ?? - IF THEY REACH £0.02:: ... Time will tell.

I don't know the exact conversion ratio because I am in the United States, and I don't have a calculator in front of me, but even if it hit's £1.00, that is more than double your money if you bought at the initial offering. Although 99.9 percent of the people investing are doing so to hopefully make money...the part that is uncertain that what percent of people would sell their tezos if it hit $1.00, $2, $10, $100, etc.

Assuming it takes in half a billion or more. If it stays under $200m I'll be buying if not no way.

As of exactly right now with 22,158 BTC being invested into the Tezos project out of the 16,421,575 BTC that are currently in circulation..
There have been exactly .134% of all bitcoins created contributed towards this project. It will be interesting to see the developments as this number gets higher and higher, since we are only about 14 hours into this thing.
As more and more people put up money...I would think the natural thing would be for it to gain more momentum as people see more and more being contributed to the project.

I have a few questions:
Can I send BTC from my electrum wallet? Do I need to imput 0.1 BTC or do I have to increase amount I want to send by fee? So instead: amout to send 0.1 should I make 0.100793 (plus fee)? When and where will I receive my tezos tokens?
Thanks!!
I sent 1 BTC from Electrum Wallet, the fee was added automatically, so in total it was 1.0013 BTC. I got my 6000 XTZ within 30 minutes on check.tezos.com. You're welcome same here. i sent 1 BTC from my bitcoin core wallet - and after ~30 mins i got my 6000 xtz Yup, thanks guys, got my confirmation as well

total supply won't be known till end of the ico Yes, as far as I have read, there doesn't seem to be a cap on the amount of tokens of the ICO. There are mixed reviews on this. Most people wish there was a cap, but it remains to be seen how this works out. One thing is for sure though, if you go to the main page...every hour it seems like there is another 1000 BTC that has been contributed...not even counting all the ETH that is being contributed. They are going to have a ton of operating income. Hopefully things get allocated correctly.

So much has been raised already and it's not yet day 2. I guess this will lead to serious dumping when it hits exchanges

Eth did their thing with a $15m ico ffs.

minimum contribution of 0,935 eth ? wtf...
I think it was a minimum of 1 Ethereum before, but maybe with the change in value the min investment for ETH changed. At current pace, it will easily exceed $100,000,000 by the end of the first 24 hours. Does anyone know when the 20% bonus expires?

No slack, no bct thread, I think most of these "donations" are fake. We'll see in the end, but this ico stinks to high heaven.

That remains to be seen, but if you frequently gamble with BTC or ETH on sports or dice, this in my opinion is a far better opportunity. If you have done your due diligence and you believe in what Tezos is trying to do, it's a calculated gamble just as investing in any other startup would be

With early bonus, each bitcoin will yeild 6000 tezos Btc collected till now : 25,852 * 6000 = 155112000 Tezos I eth will generate 637.9200 Tezos during Bonus period Eth collected till now : 92,083*637.9200 = 58741587.36 Tezos 155112000 Tezos + 58741587.36 Tezos = 213853587.36 Tezos will be generated during bonus period only After bonus ends, there will be less investment.I think total supply would be somewhere around 1 billion.Eth has also same supply and we all know its price today
