Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Well in principle if more people are getting concerned about overfunding this should put a downward pressure to the total amount raised. People have plenty of time to do their due diligence so at the end of the day there should be some equilibrium amount that balances concerns and hype

But we all know that crowd wisdom can be very irrational attimes, the same crowd that decided to give over $150 million to Slockit DAO. My advice here is just invest what you can afford to lose

DAO example does not apply because DAO funds could be seamlessly reconverted back to ETH (before the first allocation was made, which never happened of course). Therefore at the time people invested into the DAO (me included), there was no *commitment*. Here it's different, once you get your tez you are stuck with them for a while and there is not reversion possible of your investment like happened with the DAO. For this reason i believe tezos will raise less than the DAO

I don't know if this is answered anywhere, but why OCaml?

it's because its a language that is naturally suited to formal verification in Coq. You can check section 2 of https://www.quora.com/How-is-Tezos-different-from-Ethereum

From that slack transcript:
--
soporificprose So their 30% discount was based on the price of BTC at that point? That would make it a much bigger actual discount yo current BTC to 5,000 TZE
breitwoman @soporificprose pardon? no, it was all denominated in dollars
the sale is denominated in BTC
--
Good to know the Pool B investment was all denominated in dollars. What will be the BTC/$ rate for their investment? And the rate for the $422k of bonuses etc in Pool C?

As the sale is denominated in BTC, we need to know the BTC/$ rate that will apply. Would make sense if it was the rate at the time of the TGE start, May 22nd 6am UTC, is that the case?

Hard to say, especially since the ICO has yet to start.

Why don't they have bounty program. Without bounty, I won't spend any single penny on this! Wink

That is why there is not bounty, this project belongs to those that put their money where they mouth is.

I have no issue about this project except that the project might be overfunded

lol that is the most illogical thing I've read today.

What I understood from your post is:

"I don't have a single penny to spend on this, I need a bounty program because I'm a bounty whore"

If this doesn't have any bounties going to invest much more then I planned to lol.

Overfunded? Even if it's a billion it could still increase to 100 times that.
