Right now, I'd say use Bitcoin for everything but "government transactions" (i.e. taxes and DMV-whatevers) whenever possible, even if it means buying gift cards on one of those sites that sell e-gift cards for Bitcoin. Force the issue by proving to the government that Bitcoin will be normalized with or without their "help" or objections.

I have a question for you. How to make governments accept bitcoin and not see it as a threat? So that one could use bitcoin in daily use, such as paying taxes or grocery shopping. What is there, other than anonymity, thats making governments fear bitcoin and cryptocurrencies?
Governments mainly fear bitcoin for its anonymity. They think that illegal activities will be carried out more using bitcoins. But they all know that bitcoin couldnot be banned since internet could not be banned. So, one day or the other, they would start accepting bitcoins by regulating it just like China and Russia. yes that can be the reason, but to me i think the only why through which we can compel government to accept bitcoin is that the number of bitcoin users increases more and more and through this way government will compel to take serious action about bitcoin. Yes if the bitcoin users increase all over the world and fiat currency transaction reduced means automatically the govt will take action on this bitcoin. till that the govt will don't care for this BTC transaction. In my country, i think less than 10% people know about bitcoin. In this situation how can we demand govt to accept Bitcoin as legal currency am I right? We just need more and more users of bitcoin and after that we can show to the government that bitcoin is a serious currency and they will notice it and they will start to discuss if they will accept bitcoin to their country and start using it just what like the Japan did on bitcoin they already accept it because they see future with it. Whatever efforts you make but if the Government is corrupt then they will never support bitcoins and never entertain it as it will stop all their corrupted activities and they will never be interested in seeing that their national currency is replaced by digital currency. What you said is the true fact of the current situation of every country, the government wants to control the economy of the country so they wont allow bitcoin to flourish in their country as they cannot control bitcoin and its transactions. Yeah and if Government starts supporting bitcoins then they will loose all their control on the money that they have on fiat at a moment which will result in end of the corrupted activities so Government will never think of supporting bitcoins ever in future.

Maybe some person introduce bitcoin to Governments so they can search it and review it if theres ok to them that bitcoin are good for our country or not. They should study it well before they will do a decision.

Governments are very smart and very well know about the bitcoin but not ready to accept it publically as they know that it can be a threat to their financial system.

Gradually, as time goes on, they will accept it. That has happened in many countries such as Japan.

Governments in their current form simply can't exist if cryptocoins become the dominant currency. 99+% of government power today exists because they have control over the money supply.
It was always the intention of Bitcoin to take that power away from the AXAs and Henri de Castries of the world.

Bitcoin is designed to be a way out to the traditional banking/financing scam
so ideally bitcoin will overthrow that system and don't care about governments and central banks.

It is for this reason that the government will never trust Bitcoin. It wants to control bitcoin. But it is very difficult to control this system.

In democracy, government must follow the decision of it's citizens. If we can get everyone to use bitcoin for our daily transactions,Government will eventually accept it as a mode of money tranfer. yes a pure democratic country really follow the decision of their public and they will definitely accept bitcoin if their citizens will call for it just like Japan is doing but if the governments will not seek the benefits of their citizens then they may create hurdle in that path.

We don't need to attract and convince government just to accept bitcoin. Once they see it as a helpful thing for their people and economy, they will just accept it.
Look at the countries like Japan and Switzerland, they are very rich countries and they see that bitcoin can be a big boost for their economy.
They are giving importance to innovation, unlike other countries they keep on looking at the bad side of bitcoin which is unfair.
Because even fiat does have it's bad side.

Yes if the governments know that bitcoin is really a beneficial currency for their nation then they will not deny that currency for to use in their country they will like to get the benefit for themselves and will also earn a good income for their state.

There is no solution for the government accept Bitcoin apart from organizing a number of tax regulations, American not legalize bitcoin as legal tender because it can't be controlled at all, except bitcoin always centered and held by a large company. It took a long time for the government to get the right idea to make a solution of this case, I don't know what Japan and China are trying to do in addition to implementing high taxes.

The government has its hands full in a lot of other issues, and bitcoin being as small as it is now, with its own issues as well, will never be considered by governments as their primary currency. Also, governments are still after stability, which can’t be said of bitcoin right now. Things could change in the future as we are headed towards a more modernized era where infrastructure and technology are being improved to make our lives better and our transactions faster and hassle-free.

There are different reasons why most governments do not take measures that make Bitcoin more recognized, such as the problems they would face in collecting taxes and the fact that they would have no control over the issue of the currency. However, many governments are already recognizing the currency as a good thing for nations, and this can become more frequent if people put pressure on politicians from their countries, as such measures will hardly come from the politicians themselves.

I feel within time, a few Governments may secretly buy Bitcoin as reserves leading to a network effort which would moon Bitcoin.

They can actually put a taxation in bitcoin if they would manage its local exchanger which all money from fiat money to digital currency pass trough. Thus, I don't recognize taxation could be the reason why governments can not accept bitcoin. The main reason why they can't accept it is because they can't manage to control it perhaps. As we all know, bitcoin is a new digital currency which would takes many years to be considered globally.

For me, I think the best way to explain the bitcoin to our goverment is to have our own representative that will clearly explain the advantages of bitcoin. We must explain the use and help of bitcoin to many people nowadays and how it will affect the economy in good ways. I think the goverment fear that bitcoin may make our economy waste if it's value is too low and sometimes it will make the economy poor so that they didn't know if they will accept bitcoin.
