Do you believe that a boat that now has a pose of 5%, will it staking like rain?

You have to download the wallet and start it synching in your computer(it can take a day or more to get updated), and then buy as many coins as you can safely afford.  In the wallet, there is something like "Receive" and that is where you'll find the wallet address.  Put that in the exchange where you can find withdraw for BOAT.   You don't have to have it on all the time, but the more time it's on the quicker you'll get a staking reward.   

Thanks for answering this members question for me. I would also like to add something and that is Boat is not the same as Rain when it comes to earning stakes as Rain is a random stake feature where we can earn any amount of coins when we stake where as Boat is just 5% per year so of course we can earn more with Rain. The Boat wallet only took me around 30 to 45 minutes to download as this coin was launched this year so the blockchain isn't that big at the moment. Another thing is you don't need to leave your wallet open 24/7 but if you have a few hundred thousand boat coins then yes I would leave it open 24/7 if you can along with the rain wallet if you also hold rain.

I believe it to be 500,000,000 the same as the dev's other coin Rain. I also think that the stats showing on Coinmarketcap are wrong with the total circulating supply as it's been the number for a while now and doesn't seem to update. So maybe the dev can update us on this so we know for sure.

Yes, that's because like I did say Rain pays random stakes rewards where as Boat pays 5% per year. But still I think Boat is a good staking coin as I earn a few stakes per day with over 50k coins. Also the coins I mine earn stakes as well so its a win win here. Mining is very good right now and has been for the past month so it is a good time to mine as pow will end at block 700k.

just discovered doubloon coin today whilst looking for a new coin to pillage. Lets hope ye ole coin rises from Davey jones locker....

 Mining on GTX1070 pretty good so far.

GeForce GTX 1070 5.5 MH/s @ 92 watts without OC'ing. I'm actually only using 70% power on card. I see stats for 1080 is 120-170 watts using full power getting up to 6.3 MH/s. I could prob get close running 100% or better. anyone else getting good rates like this?

The dev is around but more so on his other coin Rain as he seems to be working more so on that one for now. But this dev is a great guy and I'm sure that once he is finished working on Rain that he will come back to work on Boat. No one really knows about this coin so it is a great time to mine and stake as the difficulty is easy right now and the price is pretty cheap as well so for people who can't mine but can stake they can get some cheap coins to start staking. I mine and stake at the same time and it's been going well even though I am using an old GPU.
