That's right, however why I think Rain is higher then Boat is because Rain offers more rewards when it comes to staking as they are random unlike Boat where it is 5% per year. Both are great coins but I would also prefer Rain over Boat, I own both coins and because I missed out mining Rain that is why I decided to get into Boat because there is still time to mine up to block 700k and we are still a while off that.

I downloaded the mac wallet from the first page here but after 12 hours now the wallet can not synchronize: half synchronization now.
It's too much slow. I opened and closed the wallet at the beginning but did not change anything.
Is this slowness normal ?

12 hours does seem a long time to sync your wallet up with the network as this coin isn't really that old and shouldn't take that long. If I remember for me it only took around 1 hour however I am using the windows wallet so not sure if there is a difference between the two wallets. Do you have many active connections? maybe if you have only a couple then it will take longer to sync.

No no  not many active connections.
me too with other mac wallets it only took 1 hour  but here in the end I closed without opening. too much time. I don't know but maybe my mac is too old for this wallet. But this is the first time I have a problem like this with a crypto wallet.
I will try the redownload.

This is why people should create bootstraps for others. It just makes everything easiest and you will be up and staking in no time. It helps get more people involved in things like this and New comers appreciate it and it will encourage further investment.

I think will be a nice solution for BOAT to implement masternodes because of low 5% APR, indeed is good for inflation, but with mn implementation will awake more intrest to "stake" the coin, also will pull out some coins from circulation and this means the price can go only up. Cheers!

I just think that all coins should have bootstraps. I mean why not ? I can see no reason not too. Doesn't it quicken the network Because people won't be syncing their whole wallet ? Their wallet will be up quicker to help strengthen the network. It just takes a bit of effort to maintain updates but I can see no reason why not to do it.

I agree that all coins should at least have bootstraps as it does save a lot of time for new users downloading the entire blockchains.

I actually think he will be open to the idea as it seems like he might implement masternodes for Rain. I actually think Rain should remain as it is and have masternodes for Boat instead but we shall see what he decides for both his coins.

On another note, I loaded up on some more Boat today as I want to accumulate as many as I can for the future, in case masternodes are implemented here.

I'm not a big fan of masternodes as I think it is just hype however I will support the dev if he decides to implement it here. That's why in the Rain thread I said that we don't really need masternodes as Rain is like a masternode anyway and in my opinion better then a masternode. I agree that Boat needs to be listed on a bigger exchange to get more volume and exposure, even if the dev can get Boat listed on Cryptopia for now would help increase the volume some more.

I think the same, implementing masternodes for boat is better due to 5% APR, Rain is good as it is now.

If the dev does implement masternodes for Boat I'm expecting that a masternode would be around 100k Boat coins so that is why I am accumulating as many as I can in case the dev decides to go down this path. It could even be more so I will continue to mine, stake and accumulate while we see what happens here.
