The namechange that was requested months ago apparently  is still necessary, personally I don't mind a namechange, it's a matter of being decisive.  

I am able to put a lot of energy and effort in this project to help the dev. The namechange needs to be implemented first.

The website looks great so far, you have done a terrific job. I think a poll would be suited for this name change as it gives the community to vote on which is the best name for project. Once done the project can move forward and promotions can start and get the word out about this great coin. I'm all for spreading the word as like I have said in previous posts I used to tweet about Boat for a while and brought in many new miners and people buying the coin. I can't wait to start promoting it again as this is one coin I truly believe in since I got in months ago.

I'd like to know why the developer, who also has plenty of money from RAIN, won't bother to get this listed elsewhere. I'm not going to fund exchanges for this coin knowing he has deep pockets from his other project. At this point I'm starting to feel like BOAT is just an afterthought.

Well Boat was the devs first project and RAIN came afterwards, I think the dev wasn't expecting RAIN to take off like it did and now RAIN most likely takes up all of his time. I do like to see Boat listed on Cryptopia and yes the dev should have the funds to at least get Boat listed on more exchanges because there was a huge pre-mine which now should cover the costs for listing on other exchanges.

I read a lot of speculations about a 'pre-mine', I can be clear about this. A pre-mine doesn't have to mean anything yet until you sell it. And if you analyse the sellings of BOAT lately, the last weeks and the amount being mined then it seems plausible that the largest percentage could be sold by them, the miners.

So the assumption that the dev must have enough funds to pay for example for Cryptopia, where the entrance fee is currently 7.5+ BTC BTC - $34.800 that is perhaps not even correct...

The new website is basically finalized and I'm waiting for an update and confirmation of the dev.  

When the website URL+block explorer is updated at Coinmarketcap I'm starting a promo campaign to boost attention and let the market cap grow steadily in the upcoming months.

True however when Boat hit its peak not long ago the dev could of sold some of the premine coins and paid to get listed on Cryptopia as back then it was a lot cheaper then it is now. I even posted on here saying this but not sure if the dev did it or not. That is the whole idea of the premine as the dev even states this in the OP. Now it seems that it might be too late with Cryptopia as the listing fee is way too high and in my opinion is too much as the BTC will be better spent trying for Bittrex or other big exchanges. The good thing is Boat is already listed on Coinexchange which is now starting to be a big player in the exchanges as one of the biggest with daily volume, I believe even more then Cryptopia now.

Indeed coinexchange.io is better than cryptopia, also have more daily volume. The problem of BOAT is not the exchanges, 2-3 exchanges are enough. I know few coins like XRB, BIS who didn't have exchanges for months/years. The problem is the lack of vision, involvement and developement of the project. I don't want to fud I'm a miner and a holder of this, but i don't see any activity in here from the dev. No marketing. No new feature. What is the purpose of this coin in the end? Maybe the dev can find some people and start making a team. He is only one guy running 2 projects.

As far as we know.  I think there may be less devs than what we think.  Many of these dev accounts go missing after launching the coin.  It may be there are a few organized business groups that launch some of these coins in an anonymous way.

I love the website layout, colors, artwork and graphics but I distance myself from anything related to online piracy, and a lot of people are like me.  Entrepreneurs who put out software, music and even movies are not your rich corporations.   Just because the dev used pirate talk, I didn't get the sense he was encouraging that kind of digital behavior.  Sea going pirates in real life, the ones who kidnap people and the like, are the pretty much everybody's scum of the earth.   This is the kind of association that has held crypto back for so many years.   All you really have to do to change it is to remove that one text line.

Nope!  I'm still here, and this was all a one-man job.  I have no connections related to this project - simply my own creation.  I've been busy with RAIN and future prospects, which led to BOAT being pushed back (sadly).  If there is enough community support, we can totally re-vamp the wallet and come up with a future plan. Nice to see some dev activity in here. I totally agree with you, you left the BOAT project in second plan, but you can always form a team and delegate some task towards it if you don't have much time to run 2 projects. This is undersandeble, you are not a robot, but you need help, at least promoting the BOAT project, and the community wants to help and this is a very good thing.

I would advise you to stay away from MercatoX exchange is worst than yobit.net, but is your call.

Thanks for supporting the design, appreciate it, allthough al lot has to be done and adjusted and with the probably upcoming namechange, it seems just a temporary layout. To my opinion, the term 'digital pirate' doesn't have to mean anything related to illegal activities or what so ever. So that's a matter of perception.

I'm for keeping the name of BOAT.  Boats are sexy, most people want them if they can afford the upkeep.  I think the price is down partially because a lot of alts are down.  I've been supporting BOAT for about six months or more and it's often swung up and down, even when it was at a much lower range.   A lot of alts have gone down and many of the big names from years ago haven't climbed back up since the ICO's starting happening.  With the website and more vocal team, I don't think more drastic measures like a name change is necessary.
